Quick Fill #14: This Week in GNCCApril 13, 2017Welcome to Quick Fill. Another week has passed, and another round of GNCC Racing is in the books. Steele Creek has become one of the larger events of the GNCC season and while parking, getting in and out of the facility, and just generally navigating the parking area can be almost as challenging as the race itself, it’s like that for a reason. People love Steele Creek and it sounded like a good number of people really enjoyed the racecourse this year as well. I ended up doing final sweep in the 1PM bike race and I have to say, even at the very end of the weekend when the course is as rough as it’s going to get, that was still a really fun sweep lap!
Quick Fill #13: This Week In GNCCApril 6, 2017Welcome! Another week has flown by and we’re onto another GNCC event. This time we head to scenic western North Carolina for this weekend’s FMF Steele Creek GNCC. This event has become a staple on the GNCC tour and often sees a huge turnout of racers and fans alike. The town of Morganton, North Carolina really gets into the event and it seems like everyone around town knows it’s time to go racing because we’ve been asked about the track pretty much everywhere we’ve been this week!
Quick Fill #12: This Week in GNCCMarch 30, 2017Welcome to Quick Fill. It’s hard to believe that three rounds of the 2017 GNCC Racing season are already in the books. Last weekend’s Cannonball GNCC was also nothing short of another weekend of amazing racing. With battles down to the wire on both the ATV and bike sides, round three definitely lived up to our expectations that the 2017 season has set for us thus far. To top it off, it seems like the majority of folks really enjoyed the track. Adding together an excellent recipe of great racecourse and tight racing action makes for a pretty epic weekend of racing.
Quick Fill #11: This Week in GNCCMarch 23, 2017Welcome to Quick Fill. Another week has flown by and here we are heading into round three of the 2017 GNCC Racing season. It’s pretty hard to believe that we’re now hitting the third round of the season but they say time flies when you’re having fun, so I guess we’ve all been having a good bit of fun thus far in the 2017 season! Hopefully the rest of the season continues along like these opening rounds have.
Quick Fill #10: This Week in GNCCMarch 16, 2017Welcome to Quick Fill. Wow. Two weeks and two rounds of GNCC Racing are already in the books. It seems like the 2016 season just ended shortly ago and we’re now looking ahead to round three of the 2017 GNCC Racing season. The opening rounds brought out a lot of action in all aspects of GNCC Racing. From the ATVs to bikes to UTVs, these first two rounds presented some great racing and hopefully are an indication of what to expect for the rest of the 2017 season.
Quick Fill #9: This Week in GNCCMarch 2, 2017Well, it’s finally here! This weekend we officially begin the 2017 GNCC Racing season. It doesn’t matter if the off-season has flown by for you or if it felt like it lasted too long, this is it, it’s go time! It’s going to be a bit different with the series beginning in South Carolina before heading to Florida, but this change has provided for a pretty unique Big Buck racecourse, which I’ll give you all the details on coming up shortly.
Quick Fill #8: This Week in GNCCFebruary 23, 2017Welcome to Quick Fill. We’re quickly approaching the end of the GNCC Racing off-season as the opening round at Big Buck is just over a week away. The first part of the track crew heads out tomorrow morning with Ryan Echols and Bob “The Builder” Pierson heading to Florida to check out a few things there, while I’ll be heading to Big Buck to get a jump start on the course layout there and I’m also going to take part in some off-season racing on Sunday!
Quick Fill #7: This Week in GNCCFebruary 16, 2017Welcome to Quick Fill. Another week has flown by and we’re fast approaching the opening round of the 2017 GNCC Racing season. This time next week a good chunk of the GNCC Track Crew will already be heading south to get things rolling. A few will head on down to Florida to get an idea of a few things for round two, while I’ll actually be heading straight to Big Buck to get a jump start on everything for round one there.
Quick Fill #6: This Week in GNCCFebruary 9, 2017Welcome to Quick Fill. Time is flying by and we’re now just 23 days away from going racing at Big Buck! We’ve finally hit that point in the year where things are really beginning to take off and we’re getting a few teasers of the upcoming season. Between off-season racing and a bunch of social media posts, the buzz is starting to grow a bit! These not only give us a little insight into what’s going on, but it will also just generally get you pretty excited to get back to GNCC Racing.
Quick Fill #5: This Week in GNCCFebruary 2, 2017Welcome to Quick Fill. The off-season is winding down, as we’re now just 30 days away from the start of the 2017 GNCC Racing season. This is the part of the season where time will really begin to fly by, so if you’re behind on your pre-season prep, now is the time to kick things up a notch. Speaking of that, we’re full force into getting things ready on our end because we’ll be heading south before we know it. Our staff in the office has been busy getting pre-registration rolling, keeping everything updated via social media, organizing school visits and much, much, much more. At the same time, our staff out in the garage has their hands full prepping our equipment for the year including quads, UTVs, dozers, generators, signage and pretty much anything else you can think of!
Quick Fill #4: This Week in GNCCJanuary 26, 2017Welcome to Quick Fill. We’re chopping away at the off-season and while in many ways that’s a good thing, it can also be a bit of a wake up call for some who may not be entirely prepared to get back into the swing of racing. There’s time left, but it’s not a lot of time, so everyone better get on the ball! Of course, there’s already been and will continue to be a good bit of off-season racing going on down south. One of the bigger events is coming up this weekend with the Burnt Gin National Hare Scramble in Sumter, South Carolina.
Quick Fill #3: This Week in GNCCJanuary 19, 2017Welcome to Quick Fill. Another week is in the books and that’s another week closer to going GNCC Racing. With riders flocking south to ride and race, we’re officially reaching the point where time is going to start flying by and we’ll be rolling into round one pretty quickly. As usual for this time of the year, we’ve been seeing a number of social media posts from various GNCC racers where they’re in Florida, the Carolinas, Georgia and everywhere in between getting in some seat time.
