Quick Fill #19: This Week in GNCCJune 10, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill. What a weekend! We finally had near perfect conditions at the Mason-Dixon after the last two versions of that event were, well, pretty darn dusty. It rained around lunch time on Thursday, but the sun came out on Friday and dried things up just enough that once riders took to the course and started churning the dirt up on Saturday, the moisture stayed right in the dirt and made for some of the best dirt conditions we’ve seen all year.
Quick Fill #18: This Week in GNCCMay 27, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill. It’s hard to believe we’ve eclipsed the halfway point of the 2021 GNCC Racing season, but we have! Seven rounds are in the books and only six remain as things begin to heat up in the hunt for GNCC National Championships. This year’s John Penton GNCC was probably one of, if not the best conditions we’ve ever seen for this event. Some of the open areas got a little dusty but the woods held just enough moisture to keep the dust down while also not being muddy. That’s a rare thing at the Penton, and it really made for a great weekend of racing.
Quick Fill #17: This Week in GNCCMay 20, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill. Well, it’s time to go racing! We’re gearing up for this weekend’s John Penton GNCC and it’s shaping up to be a good one. Naturally, we’ll have the details on what you could expect on the racecourse coming up, and since we’re super busy getting everything ready we’ll get through this edition of Quick Fill pretty fast so we can get back to it, and let you get back to getting ready as well.
Quick Fill #16: This Week in GNCCMay 13, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill. It seems like we should be getting back to GNCC Racing once again this weekend, but there’s still another off weekend before we return. For some, this might come as a welcome relief as you have a little extra time to get everything in order and ready to roll. For others, you might be pulling your hair out and counting down the minutes until it’s time to go racing. Either way, we’ve still got another week but time flies and we’ll be going racing in no time.
Quick Fill #15: This Week in GNCCApril 29, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill. Well, it’s time to go racing once again!
Quick Fill #14: This Week in GNCCApril 22, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill. This week’s edition of Quick Fill comes to you live from Ironman Raceway!
Quick Fill #13: This Week in GNCCApril 15, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill. Finally, it’s time to go racing once again. This weekend’s Tiger Run GNCC is already shaping up to be a great one. The return to the Big Buck Farm, site of the opening round of the season, is a bit of a unique change. We’ve visited the same venue twice in a single season more that once. Last year we had multiple rounds that were raced twice, and have a few more lined up for this season. On top of that, if you go way back in the history of the series, there were several seasons where places like Loretta Lynn’s, Big Bear and Fireball that were raced twice in one season.
Quick Fill #12: This Week in GNCCApril 8, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill.It seems like we should be talking about going racing this weekend, but that’s still a week away! These early off-weekends are a welcomed relief in some ways and in other ways leaves you scratching your heads thinking about what you’re going to do with another weekend without a GNCC event. Don’t worry, this weekend and the early part of next week will fly by and you’ll be rolling towards the Big Buck Farm before you know it.
Quick Fill #11: This Week in GNCCApril 1, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill.Four rounds are in the books and wow, are things really beginning to heat up! Last weekend’s Camp Coker Bullet GNCC produced some amazing racing all weekend long and it seems like everyone really enjoyed the event as a whole. I heard quite a few folks say this was their favorite Camp Coker event to date, and I’d have to agree. The new section of property added into the racecourse did get a bit rough but I thought it was a blast.
Quick Fill #10: This Week in GNCCMarch 18, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill. Shout out to Greg Grimm for letting me know he was going through Quick Fill withdrawals.Three rounds are officially in the books and we’re full swing into the GNCC Racing season. I don’t know about you, but to me it seemed like those first three rounds absolutely flew by and here we already are getting geared up for round four, which will take place next weekend. Not only were those first few rounds full of some great racing and good times, but wow there were some great turnouts. It’s awesome to see so many people wanting to take part in GNCC Racing and it seems like even with large numbers of racers, everything still seemed to move along pretty good at each of those first three rounds.
Quick Fill #9: This Week in GNCCMarch 4, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill.Wow, here it is; round two! It’s time to roll into the sandy soil of Florida for this weekend’s Wild Boar GNCC. I know, it seems like Big Buck literally just ended, but time flies when you’re having fun and not only will we be rolling through these next two rounds in no time, but I’m sure we’ll blink and be heading into the summer break before we know what happened. However, there’s still plenty of racing that will happen between now and then, and these next two rounds are going to roll on quickly and hopefully both turn out awesome.
Quick Fill #8: This Week in GNCCFebruary 25, 2021Welcome to Quick Fill. Wow. Round one is already in the books and boy was it a great weekend. It started off a little muddy in some areas but as the weekend wore on conditions just got better and better. By the end of the weekend there were even some poofs of dust here and there but the overwhelming majority of the Big Buck property was darn near perfect. It was also exciting to see two riders win who had never won the opening round before, and that really makes things interesting heading to round two.
