He is also longtime motorsports and bicycle enthusiast, who has recently gotten into the GNCC eBike scene. Though he only did a handful of races last year, he came out swinging in the Master’s class – he won the first round, which makes him the current points leader. He plans on pursuing the full Specialized eMTB GNCC National Championship Series, depending on what the schedule looks like once we get back to racing again.

Quick Fill #16: This Week in GNCCApril 23, 2020Welcome to Quick Fill.This unscheduled off time continues as the world progresses through another week of the Covid 19 pandemic, and while this definitely isn’t fun, it will ultimately give us all a new appreciation for getting to go racing when we do return. We’ve got our fingers crossed that a return to racing happens sooner rather than later, but there are a lot of moving pieces that need to happen before we’re able to just jump into hosting a race. It looks as if this pandemic will wind down on a state-to-state basis, and while it looks like a return to racing will ultimately come within the next several weeks, it’s up in the air as to where exactly we will be racing.

One of them will almost certainly be the 2020 YXC1 champion and win the Youth Overall title. The YXC1 class is very competitive – both Dearing (points leader) and Cox (third place) have won overalls this season, and after three races they are only separated by four points. Since we have some downtime from GNCC Racing, I thought it would be a good time to get to know some of the potential future stars of our sport.
GNCC Racing's Statement Regarding Snowshoe Mountain's Summer OperationsApril 21, 2020Our announcement this morning regarding the Snowshoe GNCC contained some inaccurate information regarding Snowshoe Mountain’s summer operations. At this time, the resort will remain closed through the month of May, but they have not yet made any determinations for operating beyond that. Resort officials are continuing to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis and will open once it is safe to do so for their employees, community, and guests.
