Quick Fill #45: This Week in GNCCDecember 13, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
The off-season rolls on and we begin to inch closer and closer to Christmas time. This is pretty exciting because it’s cool to see new bikes, new gear, new graphics and more new stuff as we head into the new season. It’s also cool to see everyone spending time together because it seems like everyone stays so busy that it doesn’t leave much time for that kind of thing the rest of the year. It’s also a sign that the new race season is that much closer. A lot of folks are already looking to get the 2019 season started but the good news for those who still need to prepare is that we still have quite a while until the season begins.

With the 2018 GNCC Night of Champions Banquets in the books, the 2018 season is officially 100% over. If you missed out on last weekend’s festivities, then you should make plans to be there for the 2019 edition because the entire weekend was lots of fun. Between the championship celebrations and the general camaraderie of the entire weekend, there’s no doubt that there is a lot of fun to be had at the GNCC banquets and we’re already looking forward to the next one.

It seems like we just had one of these, right? Well in case you missed it earlier this week, this is actually a double Quick Fill week as we saved last week’s edition (which would’ve came on Thanksgiving Day) for Monday. That seems a little crazy because things are a little slow this time of the year as far as news is concerned but with the GNCC Banquets coming up this weekend, there’s still plenty to talk about. This is going to be a weekend full of fun and there’s a lot going on so we’ll give you a rundown of what to expect and when to expect it this weekend.
Quick Fill #42: This Week in GNCCNovember 26, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
With Thanksgiving taking place last week and folks busy spending time with their families, I figured that instead of posting an ultra-quick version of Quick Fill telling everyone to just enjoy their Thanksgiving and come back next week, that we would simply wait a bit and post a special Monday version of Quick Fill. That would make this week a double Quick Fill week, as we’ll have our traditional Thursday edition as well. Now this seems a bit crazy as things are pretty slow during these opening stages of the off-season and there’s not a lot to talk about but with the GNCC banquets coming up this weekend, we’ll have more to discuss later this week.
Quick Fill #41: This Week in GNCCNovember 8, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
For most folks, this week probably feels like the first “real” week of the GNCC off-season. Last week we were fresh off a big weekend at Ironman and this week we roll into our first full week without a GNCC event to recover from or look forward to. Does that mean that a big chunk of the GNCC Racing Nation has been sitting back and relaxing? Heck no! With some post-season races happening and a lot of folks heading to Chile for next week’s International Six Days Enduro, it still feels like race season even though the GNCC season has ended.
Quick Fill #40: This Week in GNCCNovember 1, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
Well, that’s it. The 2018 GNCC Racing season is in the books. I know I say this just about every week but it really seems like time just flies by and this year was no different. It seems like as quickly as the season began, it came to a close but what a great season it was. There was some great racing that took place on some great racecourses and there was also some really interesting racing that took place in some challenging conditions throughout the season.

Here it is, Ironman! This weekend is unique. It’s a great one to look forward to, but it’s a bit somber at the same time as it’s the final event of the season. However, Ironman is the perfect way to cap off a season. With a huge number of racers, spectators, vendors and no short supply of good times, Ironman is an amazing event. This year promises to deliver much more of the same and we’ve got a great racecourse to top it all off too.

It’s hard to believe but there is now just one round remaining in the 2018 GNCC Racing season. Time truly does fly when you’re having fun, and if the speed this season has gone by is any indication, then we’ve obviously had a lot of fun. With the penultimate round at Powerline Park in the books, we’re now looking ahead to the biggest one of them all when we head to Crawfordsville, Indiana next weekend for the Ironman.

It’s time once again to go GNCC Racing! It seems hard to believe but we’ve now reached the penultimate round of the season. For those who may be unfamiliar with that term, penultimate, it’s the formal way of saying “next to last” and it’s just kind of fun to say. Regardless, the season is beginning to wind down and before we know it we’ll be into the winter break and counting the days until the 2019 season starts. It really does seem like this season just began but here we are preparing for the end.
Quick Fill #36: This Week in GNCCOctober 8, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
Now you may be saying “hey wait a minute, it’s not Thursday?” and you’re correct. However, I had some odd computer issues last week and spent some time trying to get things back to 100%. That put a delay on Quick Fill and instead of posting it in the middle of the weekend when everyone is busy riding, racing or just getting chores done around the house, I figured waiting until Monday would give you something interesting to kick the week off with. With that said, we’ll just have a double Quick Fill week to make up for the delay. So let’s jump right into it.
Quick Fill #35: This Week in GNCCSeptember 27, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
Finally, its time to go GNCC Racing! This weekend we roll into the first-ever Mason-Dixon GNCC, which will be taking place on two former GNCC properties. It’s a bit unfortunate that it has been raining a bit on and off this week and it’s going to make for some wet conditions this weekend, but we hope that things just get better as the weekend goes on. The current forecast says we’re just about done with the rain and we’re looking to a good weekend forecast. It is going to be wet and slick but this is a fun course for sure, and a long one at that!
Quick Fill #34: This Week in GNCCSeptember 20, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
With another week in the books, we’re closer to finally getting back into the swing of GNCC Racing with next weekend’s Mason-Dixon GNCC in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania. This promises to be one of the coolest events of the season as this “new” event is actually a combination of two older GNCC events. If you haven’t already heard, the Mason-Dixon will consist of the Mathews Farm property that held GNCC events from 2001-2003 and will be crossing to the legendary High Point Raceway property, which hosted GNCC events for many years in addition to being a long-standing staple in the Pro Motocross series.
