Quick Fill #33: This Week in GNCCSeptember 13, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. Unfortunately our GNCC summer break has been extended due to the weather conditions that has left the Harpursville, New York area inundated with rain.
Quick Fill #32: This Week in GNCCSeptember 6, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. A few weeks back we had to report on the unfortunate passing of Cody Stickley and John Jarrett, who were both close to the GNCC Racing Nation. Well, unfortunately this week we’ve learned of two more folks, also close to the GNCC Racing Nation, who have passed. Brent Cahoon, known by many as “The Carbsport Guy” was an energetic, passionate and incredibly nice guy. Brent never knew a stranger and he was never afraid to lend a hand to someone who needed it. Not only had he been regular at GNCCs for quite a few years, but also you’d see him pop up at many other events from Pro Motocross to Loretta Lynn’s and much, much more. Brent suffered a heart attack while riding and while it’s an incredibly sad loss, Brent was lost doing something he loved.
Quick Fill #31: This Week in GNCCAugust 30, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. The summer break is beginning to wind down as we head into Labor Day weekend. The next couple of weeks serve as a final push to prepare for the final rounds of the 2018 GNCC Racing season as we’re now just about two weeks away from kicking things back off with the Black Sky GNCC in New York. If you read last week’s edition of Quick Fill, you’ll already know what’s coming next as I want to repeat a few of those things because it’s good info.
Quick Fill #30: This Week in GNCCAugust 23, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. While we typically try to focus each week’s edition of Quick Fill on positive happenings within the GNCC Racing world, sometimes we do have some very unfortunate news to report. This has proven to be a tough week for the GNCC Racing Nation as we’ve learned of the passing of two folks closely tied with our racing community. GNCC Youth bike racer, Cody Stickley, was tragically lost this past weekend. It’s impossible to put into words how terrible the loss of such a young and promising soul could be, but we did issue a PR yesterday. You can read that HERE.
Quick Fill #29: This Week in GNCCAugust 9, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. It’s been a few hectic weeks for us as we’ve been down at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch for the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship last week and we now roll into this weekend’s ATV Motocross event. This should prove to be a pretty interesting race as Joel Hetrick and Chad Wienen are locking in an intense battle for the ATV Motocross National Championship, and it all comes down to these final two motos this Saturday. With that said, this week’s edition of Quick Fill will once again be a bit on the quick side as we’re busy here at the ranch getting things ready for this weekend.
Quick Fill #28: This Week in GNCCJuly 26, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. This week’s edition of Quick Fill comes to you all the way from Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. We’re down at the ranch getting things ready for next week’s Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, so please bear with us as this and the next edition of Quick Fill will be a little bit on the short side. Things are beginning to come alive at the ranch, as there is already a pretty large number of riders camped out and ready to go racing next week. If you think people show up early for a GNCC event, think about the folks who have already been here for three days or longer and they don’t even hit the track until Monday!
Quick Fill #27: This Week in GNCCJuly 19, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. The band Sly and the Family Stone had a funk/psychedelic soul song called “Hot Fun in the Summertime” and it seems like that’s exactly what the GNCC Racing Nation has been up to. Everywhere you look it seems like the GNCC faithful are having fun of some sort. Whether its riding, racing or vacation it seems like everyone is up to something fun as the summer break rolls by. For many, just because GNCC is on summer break doesn’t mean racing is taking a back seat. There’s still been a lot of racing going on and there’s more coming as we roll through the break.
Quick Fill #26: This Week in GNCCJuly 12, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. As the days continue to tick by, so does the GNCC summer break. We’re still early in this break and have a ways to go before we head to the final four rounds of the 2018 season. However, it’s never too early to start thinking about the final rounds and the racing those rounds could produce. These final rounds are always a push towards the championship for many riders. Just because you head into summer break in a different position than where you want to be, doesn’t mean a championship is absolutely out of reach. Many times these final rounds play the biggest factor in deciding a championship.
Quick Fill #25: This Week in GNCCJune 28, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. With the conclusion of the Snowshoe GNCC this past weekend, that means we roll into the summer break. It’s hard to believe we’ve already completed nine rounds in the 2018 season but that first part of the season is in the books and just four rounds remain. Of course, we’ve got some time off before those final four rounds and it gives some folks the opportunity to hit the reset button and get ready for a final push towards a championship.
Quick Fill #24: This Week in GNCCJune 21, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. It’s hard to believe it but we now approach our final round before summer break. It seems like the season just kicked off a few weeks ago but we’re now getting ready to head to the toughest and most unique race of the season with the Snowshoe GNCC. As usual, we’ll have the details on this year’s Snowshoe course coming up just a little bit later in this week’s edition of Quick Fill and you’ll definitely want to read up on it because it’s going to be a good one!
Quick Fill #23: This Week in GNCCJune 14, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. With the Tomahawk GNCC in the books, there is now only one round that stands between summer break and us. This seems a bit hard to believe because it seems like it was just yesterday that we were kicking off the 2018 season and now only five rounds remain for the entire season. There’s no doubt that it has been one of the most exciting seasons in the history of GNCC Racing and if the next five rounds are anything like the first eight, then we’re in for a real treat.
Quick Fill #22: This Week in GNCCJune 7, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill. The weeks continue to tick by as we roll through the 2018 GNCC Racing season. We now head into round eight with the Dunlop Tomahawk GNCC in Odessa, New York. This venue has proved to provide some interesting storylines in its short history on the GNCC schedule and this year promises to produce more of the same. On the ATV side, there has only been one single rider to claim overall wins at the Tomahawk GNCC and that’s Walker Fowler. In the three previous seasons this event has been on the schedule, Fowler has claimed the Tomahawk win each season and will ultimately be hungry to make it four for four this weekend.
