Tuesday Toolbox: Ryan SipesOctober 11, 2016The GNCC Racin’ Nation was severely disappointed to hear that Ryan Sipes and another rider collided on their way to the Powerline Park starting line and he was not able to compete in Sunday’s XC1 race. Unfortunately, Ryan’s mishap also left him with a broken arm and he was not able to fly to Spain for the 91st running of the ISDE. Ryan made history last year when he became the first American to ever win the overall at the prestigious event and hopes were high that he would lead Team USA to an overall victory this year. GNCCRacing.com caught up with Ryan for this week’s Tuesday Toolbox.

Video Report: Powerline Park ATVsOctober 7, 2016Racers and fans watched as CST/LSR/Induction Solutions/DeRisi/SG/Tire Blocks’s Adam McGill raced his way through the muddy 10-mile racecourse at the Polaris Ace Powerline Park GNCC to claim the overall win. Today, October 1, also played in favor for N-Fab/Maxxis/AmPro Yamaha/Lonestar/MXP’s Walker Fowler as he was able to wrap up his second National Championship at the twelfth round of the 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship.

As we reported earlier, with less then 24 hours notice, Kallonen flew Coastal Racing’s Layne Michael to Spain earlier in the week to be part of this year’s team.

Whew! Just like that, two back-to-back rounds have come to an end. We mentioned last week how it’s common to see back-to-back races for the opening rounds, but it’s an extreme rarity to see this kind of thing take place at the end of the season. However, a lot of folks I talked to said that it didn’t really feel quite like two back-to-back rounds. Likely because a good number of folks went home in between these two rounds as opposed to the opening rounds in Florida/Georgia where most folks make a long trip out of those events.
