After joining the series as a late addition to the 2020 GNCC schedule, the Buckwheat 100 GNCC became an ongoing fixture for GNCC racers. While GNCC events are still fairly young at Buckwheat, this property is no stranger to racing as it hosted local racing events for many years prior to joining the GNCC series.

This property is home to Jennings Excavating, one of North Central West Virginia's biggest excavating companies, so big thanks to the Jennings Family for opening their doors to GNCC. Parking here is plentiful with acres upon acres of open field that also double as some trackside pitting areas, so you typically don't have to venture far from your campsite to find a spot to pit during the race!

Once you're on the racecourse this one tends to be a little bit on the fast side, especially out in those open fields. The trees tend to grow pretty far apart, and with this event traditionally held in late fall, the leaves have already fallen which tend to open things up as well. However, once you drop off the far backside of this property the course gets a bit more rocky and technical with some challenging off-cambers and rolling hills to slow things down.

Most of this property is a reclaimed coal mine, which exposes a lot of unique dirt throughout the facility. While most of the soil here is loamy brown dirt, there are several spots that have deep black dirt that can get pretty sticky when its wet, and if that's not enough, there's even a hillside that is made up of sand and rock which gives a pretty unique addition to an already unique facility.
