Quick Fill #15: This Week in GNCCApril 14, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
The 2016 season rolls on and this weekend we roll to round four and the 20th annual VP Racing Fuels Big Buck GNCC. In last week’s edition of Quick Fill, I talked a bit about how special it is that this year marks the 20th edition of the Big Buck GNCC, some other fun historical info on the event and a little on how thing have, or have not changed since that inaugural Big Buck GNCC event in 1997. We’ve got a little more on that coming up a little later.
Quick Fill #14: This Week in GNCCApril 7, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Another week, another race! I’ve heard more than a few people mention that this year’s GNCC Racing season is already starting to fly by and that really seems like that’s the case. We’re now three rounds in and getting ready to go racing on round four next weekend at Big Buck, and this year’s Big Buck is going to be a special one. What makes it so special you ask? Well, 2016 marks the 20th running of the Big Buck GNCC! That’s a huge accomplishment for any event, anywhere, and we’re glad to have been visiting the Big Buck Farm for that long. More on that later!
Quick Fill #13: This Week in GNCCMarch 31, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Once again it’s time to go GNCC Racing and we’re back in familiar territory with the FMF Steele Creek GNCC. This year marks the 17th running of Steele Creek and promises to be one of the best to date. Last week we discussed a few of the most epic moments from the history of Steele Creek and it leaves a big question; will this year be another for the history books? The storyline of the 2016 GNCC Racing season has built up through the first two rounds and round three at Steele Creek is already shaping up to be one of the best Steele Creek races in history, and there’s not even any racing going on yet.
Quick Fill #12: This Week in GNCCMarch 24, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Another week is in the books and while traditionally we’d be gearing up for round three this weekend, leap year and an early Easter have pushed the schedule back ever-so slightly, so we’ve got an extra weekend off before we go racing at Steele Creek. For some, it’s a nice break to find some extra seat time, make more adjustments to their machine, or just spend Easter Weekend with the family. Of course, there are others who are ultimately ready to get back to racing!
Quick Fill #11: This Week in GNCCMarch 18, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Whew, it’s hard to believe that the opening rounds have already come and gone. At times, it seems like the off-season drags on and then once it gets down to crunch time, then into race time, all of that time flies by. Regardless, I believe everyone really enjoyed the tracks for this year’s first two rounds. They were a good bit different than what we’ve experienced in the past and there were very few people who didn’t have a blast.
Quick Fill #10: This Week in GNCCMarch 10, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
It’s official, the 2016 GNCC Racing season is underway! After a heck of an opening round in Florida, we’re now getting everything ready to go for round two, which will be our first new venue of the 2016 season. It’s looking like this weekend’s race is going to be another great one and I’ve got the details on the racecourse coming up a little bit later.
Quick Fill #9: This Week in GNCCMarch 3, 2016Well, it’s go time! The 2016 GNCC Racing season officially kicks off this weekend with the Moose Racing Wild Boar GNCC in Palatka, Florida. It’s been a long off-season and everyone is anxious to get the season underway. We are too! The 2016 season is already promising to be one of the best seasons of GNCC Racing in the history of the sport, and with the course we’ve put together for this weekend, it also promises to be one of the most fun opening rounds in history as well.
Quick Fill #8: This Week in GNCCFebruary 25, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
This week’s edition officially marks the first “on the road” Quick Fill of 2016. The first part of the crew has made their way south as Jeff Russell, Terry Beck, Ryan Echols and myself are all in Sparta, Georgia getting a few things set up for round two. Traditionally that’s how it’s done. Since the turn around between the two races is so short (and used to be much shorter when we raced Sunday/Tuesday) we visit the Georgia track first to get a head start on a track layout, then it’s off to Florida this weekend to get things rolling down there.
Quick Fill #7: This Week In GNCCFebruary 18, 2016This week’s edition of Quick Fill actually comes to you from the garage here at the Racer Productions office where the GNCC crew is undergoing some workplace training to keep everyone up to speed on staying safe in the workplace. Many of you have likely had this sort of training, and it’s always good to get a refresher course to stay on top of things. It’s somewhat of a last hoorah here in Morgantown before we begin our trek south very soon.
Quick Fill #6: This Week in GNCCFebruary 11, 2016We continue to inch closer and closer to the official start of the 2016 GNCC Racing season! While we’re still a few weeks away, we’re into the crunch time where time is going to fly and we’ll be southbound in no time. In fact, many riders have already made their way down south and this past weekend was full of racing down south. More on that later.
Quick Fill #5: This Week in GNCCFebruary 4, 2016I know this is said pretty frequently, but it holds true; the days continue to tick away and we’re inching closer and closer to the beginning of the 2016 GNCC Racing season! Pre-season races are in full swing, there’s more coming up and then we’ll be heading to Florida before we know it. I’m sure everyone will agree that the excitement is building and we’re all anxious to get back into the swing of GNCC Racing.
Quick Fill #4: This Week in GNCCJanuary 28, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Hopefully those of you who were impacted by Winter Storm Jonas over the weekend have been able to dig yourselves out and get back to the grind! There were a number of people who made the best of the snow over the weekend and had some fun with it. I even saw a few social media posts where some got out and rode in it, and I have to say, hats off to you because that was a lot of snow to ride through!
