Quick Fill #35: This Week in GNCCSeptember 29, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Another week has come and gone and we’re yet again going racing at Powerline Park. It’s an annual thing to have back-to-back opening rounds down south but due to this year’s ISDE schedule, we’re experiencing back-to-back rounds in the fall as well. This threw a pretty unique curve to the 2016 schedule but overall, it really doesn’t feel like it’s that much different than a two-week break between rounds. This weekend’s Powerline Park GNCC could see champions crowned and we have the info on that coming up a little later.
Quick Fill #34: This Week in GNCCSeptember 22, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
It’s time to go GNCC Racing once again and this time we’ve got another set of back-to-back races coming up. This is something we’re used to with our opening rounds in Florida and Georgia but it hasn’t been done before at the end of the season. This will make things pretty interesting as only a week to recover from a tough and rocky Mountaineer Run GNCC before heading to Powerline Park will help to show whos the fittest of the fit. Speaking of the Mountaineer Run course, I’ve got some info on that coming up a little bit later so be sure to read ahead to know what you’re in store for this weekend!
Quick Fill #33: This Week in GNCCSeptember 15, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
It’s official! The GNCC summer break has ended and we’re now into the final four rounds of the 2016 season. While it seems like the summer break went on for quite a while, it’s also pretty strange to realize that we’re now looking at just three rounds remaining this season. I know I’ve said this a lot, but it seems like the season just got started and now it’s already winding down. As they say, time flies when you’re having fun!
Quick Fill #32: This Week in GNCCSeptember 8, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Well, summer break is officially coming to an end, as we’ll be returning to racing this weekend with the Unadilla GNCC. We’ve talked time and time again about how big Unadilla is and how exciting it is to return from summer break with a huge number of riders on one of the world’s most famous motocross facilities. This year looks to be just as promising with a great weather forecast and a great track laid out, Unadilla will once again be a great way to kick off the final four rounds of the season.
Quick Fill #31: This Week in GNCCSeptember 1, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Time is winding down and we’re inching closer to returning to racing at Unadilla. We’ve reached that point where we’re now counting the days until Unadilla opposed to thinking about how far off it really is. Right now we’re only nine days away from kicking things back off and I know there are a lot of you who are ready to get going. As always, Unadilla promises to be a great return from summer break. With a huge number of racers at one of the most legendary motocross facilities in the entire world, Unadilla is always a do not miss event.
Quick Fill #30: This Week in GNCCAugust 18, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Summer break rolls on as we begin to countdown the days until the return of GNCC Racing at Unadilla. Several weeks ago I gave a ton of numbers that let you know how long it is until Unadilla, and we’ll throw out the current figures this week! Right now we’re just 23 days away. 23 days is also 3 weeks, 2 days or 552 hours. Breaking it down even further, that’s 33,120 minutes or 1,987,200 seconds. Then if you wanted to get really technical, that’s just a mere 6.28% of the entire year of 2016. So in other words, Unadilla is coming up pretty quick!
Quick Fill #29: This Week in GNCCAugust 11, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
We’re back to bring you all the Quick Fill goodies after a brief break for running of the 35th annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s, presented by AMSOIL. It was a pretty great week of motocross racing at one of the most hallowed grounds in all of amateur racing and there were a number of familiar GNCC names in attendance, which we’ll have a little info on coming up later.
Quick Fill #28: This Week in GNCCJuly 21, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
The GNCC summer break continues to tick away and while we still have a while before we go racing, the good news is we’re now already a week closer to that time coming. Of course, while I always say that time seems to fly by, others may feel as if the time is just dragging on. If you’re one of those who feel like the time is dragging on, the good news is we’re now just 51 days away from returning to racing at Unadilla.
Quick Fill #27: This Week in GNCCJuly 14, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
We continue through the 2016 summer break and by this point, I’m sure there are some of you who are already beginning to feel as if summer break is dragging on. The official count until we return to racing at Unadilla is 65 days, which may seem like a really long time but it doesn’t sound that long when you put it in some other forms. That’s also 2 months and 3 days, or 9 weeks and 2 days, 1560 hours, 93,600 minutes, 5,616,000 seconds, or if you want to get extremely technical; 17.76% of the entire year of 2016. When you look at it in some of those figures, 65 days really doesn’t seem that far away.
Quick Fill #26: This Week in GNCCJune 30, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Summer break is officially here and while it’s nice to take a little time to relax and get things reset for the final four rounds in the fall, it also feels a little weird to not be looking ahead to the next GNCC event for quite some time. I’m sure there’s some folks out there already counting down the days until Unadilla and while there’s plenty of summer fun to be had, the time will fly by and we’ll be getting ready to head to Unadilla before we know it.
Quick Fill #25: This Week in GNCCJune 23, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
The 2016 GNCC Racing season rolls on and while it seems like the season just kicked off last week, we’re already approaching the final round before summer break. Most everyone will agree that Snowshoe is one of the most excellent ways to end the first part of the GNCC Racing season. What better place to spend a weekend together than one of the finest ski resorts the United States has to offer, and on top of that, ending the first part of the season with a bang on the toughest GNCC course of the season is always great as well.
Quick Fill #24: This Week in GNCCJune 16, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Round eight is in the books as we now begin to prepare for our final round before summer break with the Amsoil Snowshoe GNCC. As usual, Snowshoe is a heck of a way to put the season on pause for summer break as the air is usually cooler atop Snowshoe Mountain, and of course the ultra-rugged terrain is a great way to cap off the first part of the GNCC season. Ryan Echols and I have heard from a lot of people who want a tough Snowshoe race and while the final course layout is still up in the air, we definitely want to try to deliver some technical and fun sections. You definitely want to be sure to check out next week’s edition of Quick Fill for the low-down on what to expect out of this year’s Snowshoe racecourse.
