The JCR/Honda Team stepped up this weekend to spread their racing across the continent, going to battle in the heated deserts of Sothern California to the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, coming away with podiums both East and West!
Saturday's hotly contested WCGP Big 6 race hosted by the Hilltoppers MC in 29 Palms, California was a scorcher not only due to the 90-degree temps but the race itself brought the heat! JCR/Honda's Trevor Stewart raced a smart race- start to finish, securing a solid 3rd for round number 4. Trevor's Benny Breck prepped CRF450RX squared off with the competition, battling the high speeds, whoops, dust, square edges and high temps of the SoCal desert to land the final podium position and maintain his fight for the WCGP championship.
Sunday's GNCC located near the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Morganton, North Carolina, one of the most popular rounds of the series, did not disappoint! A packed house cool temps at 60F, treated the racers to a perfect conditioned course due to the light rain the night before. JCR's Trevor Bollinger, started strong on his Eric Siraton prepped CRF450RX, coming off the first lap of 7, Trevor positioned himself well within the top five, moving into the top 3 by the end of lap 2. From there Trevor never let up, taking advantage of the encouragement of his hometown fans, and clearing his first ever podium finish in the highly competitive XC1 pro division.
"I am really happy with the strong work efforts of my young Team. Both Bollinger and Stewart are improving every race and for us, the podium in GNCC and WCGP the same weekend says a lot of what this team is made of. The CRF450RX is performing at a really high level, Eric, Benny, and the riders are really putting in the work to achieve our Team goals and we are in solid positions in both series with 80% of the race season still ahead of us. The JCR/Honda Team loves what we are doing and it's exciting to be fighting for these championships!" -- Johnny Campbell
