Hey Everyone Its Cody Ruckle with my race report from round 11 the Car-Mate Mountain Ridge GNCC. It was great to be back racing at Mountain Ridge, in Somerset PA. I attended my first GNCC race ever there as a little kid and got Jason Raines autographed riding pants. The following summer, I raced my first race there in the 65 7-9 class.

Now I am racing my first race in the 250A class on my new YZ 250, while wearing the signed riding pants that he gave me when I was 7 years old. It is pretty intimidating starting 4 rows behind the pros. When Ricky threw the flag there was no hesitation, we were ready to go. I got a decent start and at the end of the 1st lap I was running 6th in class and 38th overall. The rock section became really slick with the rain that fell, but it did help with the dust. I kept charging ahead, stopping in my pits for fresh Scott goggles.

At the end of the second lap I was 5th in class and had gained 1 overall position. During my third lap, I laid my bike down in the rock garden and busted my radiator. I exited the track and went back to my pits where my pit crew tried to fix it. Dad sent me back out and told me to come back if the leak didn't stop. I re-entered the track where I had left, but by the time I got back to my pits, it was still leaking. So my race was over. I'll be back in 250A at Powerline Park in two weeks, so I hope to see you all then.
