Obermeyer Race Report From Mountain Ridge GNCC

The Duo of Jake Froman and Cole Kirchoff made their way to Pennsylvania to line up in the ultra competitive light A class. With Jake nabbing the holeshot and Cole starting in 5th the boys were off and running with good starts. The conditions started out dusty and quickly became wet and slick as the rain made its way in about the time our 1st round of fuel stops came up. The IMS Dump can dropped the fuel in a matter of seconds and with a fresh pair of goggles the battle continued.
The field of riders were strong and the battle was tough, between Myers, Teagarden, and the usual host of fast guys, our boys found themselves pushing hard and eventually moving towards the front of the pack. Attrition would play a big factor in the out come of this race as wear and tear on the riders and equipment during the closing laps would provide great excitement and anxiety for the pit crews.
At the end of the day Jake would cross the line in second and Cole would limp across with a missing shifter to finish in 8th after having to rely on his Rekluse Core EXP 3.0 to handle the load of not having a shifter.
Jake would score his personal best overall result in GNCC racing with a 20th place finish.
The last 2 rounds are closer to home and closer to the type of terrain that the boys train on. We are hoping to provide some excitement for the team as we race closer to home.
