Round 3 of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series proved to be another challenging mud race, making for another great set of finishes for our Motorcycle Superstore / Bell Helmet riders.

Charlie Mullins

Factory FMF/KTM rider Charlie Mullins had another great ride on the rain-soaked track finishing, second behind his teammate Kailub Russell and in front of Yamaha's Josh Strang. "I tried to ride good and charge, but I wasn't really making up any ground; I rode as hard as I could. On the second to last lap I had a pretty good crash in the sand and Strang caught up to me. He kept me honest that last lap and I had to push pretty hard to keep him behind me."

With a 1st, 5th and 2nd in the first three rounds, Mullins is still the point’s leader in the series. "This was a tough race, but overall I was able to get some solid points and maintain the lead."

Kacy Martinez

With three overall class wins in the series, Kacy Martinez is definitely building her confidence and her mud skills. "I was happy riding to the start line that it wasn't raining. The track was physically demanding and with all the sticky mud, my bike felt like it weighed a thousand pounds. I worked my way through all the bottlenecks to take the class win - just hope I can keep the streak rolling as we head into Round 4."

Rory Mead

Best wishes go out to Motorcycle Superstore / Bell Helmet Support Rider, Rory Mead, who sustained serious injuries on Sunday after reportedly being involved in a single rider accident on the final lap. Rory was airlifted to a local hospital and we are currently awaiting an update on his condition.
