IXCR Report - Heartland Challenge
Thursday, August 29, 2013 | 1:20 PM
Summer is normally a down time for the GNCC riders but it seems that every year more and more riders are starting to compete in the Heartland Challenge Held in Carlisle, Iowa. If you aren’t familiar with this even it is a Team event that goes deep into the darkness and last’s for 10 hours! This year there was a new class called the Series Challenge which was a class designed for local series to send some of their best riders out to do battle with other race series from around the country.
IXCR was proud to send out a trio of riders from SICC Racing and they did not disappoint. Team IXCR was able to win the Series Challenge and they were the top finishing Non-Pro Team. The team consisted of Fred Marley, Michael Marley, and Marshal Goings.
We are very proud of the guys for doing a great job and helping represent IXCR! And a special congratulations to Fred Marley for not only being a part of the winning team, but then turning around and driving straight home to take the overall win the following day at Round 8 of the IXCR Series. Great job to the guys out in Iowa for hosting another great race and we look forward to coming back next year.
