My race was off to a good start, I was about 2nd into the woods and at the end of the first lap I was 2nd in class and 2nd overall,. During the 2nd lap, I had made the pass and was in the 1st overall position and I was having a great race. But near the end of the 2nd lap, I was leaving the grass track and was heading back into the woods, I jumped a breaking bump and the bike hit neutral in the air and I went over the bars. I got up and picked up my bike and that's when the pain hit me.

I knew then I had messed up my right shoulder and was done. I fell to the ground in pain. Some nearby spectators saw the crash and went to get help. Tommy and Jeff were there right away. Tommy helped me up and onto the 4-wheeler and Jeff took me to the medics. This was my first time getting hurt in a race. The medics were super nice and they checked me out really good. They thought my collar bone was broken and reccomended I get an xray and yes it is indeed broken and I am sad to say I will be off the bike for the next 8 weeks. The good news is it will heal just fine without surgery, I just have to wear a brace. Thanks to everyone who has called to check on me and to wish me well, Tommy Harris and Jeff Russell for getting to me so quickly and getting my bike back to the truck, and Carrie Jo for staying with me at the medical tent until my parents got there.

I would like to thank God for keeping me safe, my crash could have been way worse, Mom and Dad, Ryan Inmon for training and riding with me, all of my teachers and principal from Westwood Middle School for supporting me when I miss school, and all of my friends and teammates who cheer me on and have my back on and off the track.
