HelmetTown.com Donating 10% of Proceeds from Helmet Sales to RiderDown

Jon Scott and HelmetTown.com recently notified RiderDown of their decision to donate 10% of proceeds from all of their HelmetTown.com eBay sales to RiderDown through the month of May! This can add up to a great donation from HelmetTown.com and their customers.

How can you help? Order yourself one of HelmetTown.com’s brand new, name-brand helmets through their eBay store. On eBay, go to the Ski and Bike Helmets Direct store (http://stores.ebay.com/Ski-and-Bike-Helmets-Direct) and purchase how you normally do. It’s that easy! By doing that, 10% of the proceeds (minimum $5 per sale) from that helmet sale will go to help injured riders up!

“When Jon contacted us with his offer, we were very pleased” said Bruce Vermeulen, President of RiderDown Foundation. “Everyone knows that helmets are essential and often need replacement! Hopefully this will provide even more incentive for people to protect themselves, knowing they are helping someone else in the process.  It’s really great that the industry is getting more proactive in supporting our efforts to help injured riders and their families.”Â

“HelmetTown's eBay Store, Ski and Bike Helmets Direct, is excited to add RiderDown.org as our Featured Charity recipient for April and May with over 3500 eBay listings offering incredible prices on quality items. Mission Fish and eBay have brought this great marketing tool which allows forward thinking companies to gain a larger market share through giving part of our sale proceeds to deserving organizations,” says Jon Scott of HelmetTown. “RiderDown.org is ideal for us as it aligns perfectly with our product line and will continue to be part of our marketing strategy for the rest of 2008. Initial numbers have shown a 50% growth in business in the first half of April, much of which we attribute to the Mission Fish Donation promotion with Riderdown.org. It's a win-win situation and something that many businesses should try.”Â
