Quick Fill #8: This Week in GNCCFebruary 25, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
This week’s edition officially marks the first “on the road” Quick Fill of 2016. The first part of the crew has made their way south as Jeff Russell, Terry Beck, Ryan Echols and myself are all in Sparta, Georgia getting a few things set up for round two. Traditionally that’s how it’s done. Since the turn around between the two races is so short (and used to be much shorter when we raced Sunday/Tuesday) we visit the Georgia track first to get a head start on a track layout, then it’s off to Florida this weekend to get things rolling down there.
Quick Fill #7: This Week In GNCCFebruary 18, 2016This week’s edition of Quick Fill actually comes to you from the garage here at the Racer Productions office where the GNCC crew is undergoing some workplace training to keep everyone up to speed on staying safe in the workplace. Many of you have likely had this sort of training, and it’s always good to get a refresher course to stay on top of things. It’s somewhat of a last hoorah here in Morgantown before we begin our trek south very soon.
Quick Fill #6: This Week in GNCCFebruary 11, 2016We continue to inch closer and closer to the official start of the 2016 GNCC Racing season! While we’re still a few weeks away, we’re into the crunch time where time is going to fly and we’ll be southbound in no time. In fact, many riders have already made their way down south and this past weekend was full of racing down south. More on that later.
Quick Fill #5: This Week in GNCCFebruary 4, 2016I know this is said pretty frequently, but it holds true; the days continue to tick away and we’re inching closer and closer to the beginning of the 2016 GNCC Racing season! Pre-season races are in full swing, there’s more coming up and then we’ll be heading to Florida before we know it. I’m sure everyone will agree that the excitement is building and we’re all anxious to get back into the swing of GNCC Racing.
Quick Fill #4: This Week in GNCCJanuary 28, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill.
Hopefully those of you who were impacted by Winter Storm Jonas over the weekend have been able to dig yourselves out and get back to the grind! There were a number of people who made the best of the snow over the weekend and had some fun with it. I even saw a few social media posts where some got out and rode in it, and I have to say, hats off to you because that was a lot of snow to ride through!
Quick Fill #3: This Week in GNCCJanuary 21, 2016Hopefully as you’re reading this you’ve not been set into a full-blown panic mode due to the winter storm threatening a large part of the eastern United States. If you don’t have milk and bread at home, you’re probably out of luck because my guess is that about 95% of stores who carry those items are completely wiped out. The good news is that those who are down south getting in some off-season training, well, you guys are lucky enough to miss all the mayhem. For those of us who aren’t, well, let’s not hold any grudges!
Quick Fill #2: This Week in GNCCJanuary 14, 2016Chances are if you’re reading this today, you didn’t score big on the $1.5 Billion Powerball. Don’t feel bad, neither did I, nor a lot of other people. I saw a lot of chatter on social media about “if I won the Powerball, I would…” and there were definitely some pretty creative ones. I really liked the people who mentioned ways they would give back to the sport, and it was also cool to see some folks say that they wouldn’t change much about their daily lives.
Quick Fill #1: This Week in GNCCJanuary 7, 2016Welcome to the first Quick Fill of 2016.
The weeks still continue to tick away as we work closer and closer to the beginning of the 2016 GNCC season. The good news is, we’re now officially into the New Year and that means that we’re starting to see the final off-season preparations beginning to take place. From here, it becomes all about riding and off-season racing as the winter break starts to wind down. In fact, there’s already been some racing going on and we’ll have some more details on that a little later.
Quick Fill #51: This Week in GNCCDecember 31, 2015Welcome to the final Quick Fill of 2015, on the final day of 2015!
With 2015 officially coming to a close, attention now turns to 2016 and what it has in store. Not just for GNCC Racing, but the whole world in general. With a new year approaching, many take it as an opportunity to exercise the "new year, new me" type of thing. Or maybe they just use it as a way to get excited for the coming year. No matter what, the dawn of a new year is something special for everyone.
Quick Fill #50: A GNCC Night Before ChristmasDecember 24, 2015Christmas is upon us, and with Quick Fill taking a slight break this week, what better way to fill the spot than with a special GNCC edition of The Night Before Christmas...
Quick Fill #49: This Week in GNCCDecember 17, 2015This is it! Round 14 is coming up this weekend. No, we’re not talking about a surprise round of racing; we’re talking about this year’s GNCC Banquet. The banquet always has a unique feel and with everyone coming together, it really feels like another round of racing. Just without the racing part. I know it’s been said quite a bit throughout the past few weeks but the banquet really is a special weekend for everyone to come together and enjoy time away from racing. Chelsea will have a little more information on the banquet coming up a little later, so read on for that.
Quick Fill #48: This Week in GNCCDecember 10, 2015Time continues to tick away this off-season, and while things still seem to be a bit on the quiet side, we’re not far off from seeing some off-season racing action start taking place. The good news for most folks though is, so far there’s been slightly above average temperatures up north, so there’s still plenty of riding going on. There’s also some riders already beginning to start prepping their new machines, and more will be coming before we know it.
