Quick Fill #44: This Week in GNCCDecember 8, 2016Welcome to Quick Fill. Another week rolls by as the GNCC Racing off-season continues to tick away. We’re reaching that point of the off-season where some riders are starting to get ready for some seat time again and a number of off-season races start seeing their numbers begin to grow. Last week I mentioned the Zoo City GP event I put on in North Carolina and I’d like to thank everyone who came out to race. There were a number of folks who drove a pretty good distance to be there, so big thanks to those folks as well. Weather was great, everyone seemed to enjoy the track and it was a good day of racing minus some hiccups with scoring but those issues will be resolved before next year’s Zoo City GP.

KR4 Signs Swedish Pro Jesper BorjessonDecember 2, 2016The Rocky Mountain ATV*MC/ KR4 Arrive-N-Ride team is pleased to announce the signing of Swedish Pro Jesper Borjesson. Borjesson will race for the Rocky Mountain/KR4 team in the highly competitive XC2 class during the 13-round Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series and the 9 Round Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series during the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

We’ve talked the past few weeks in Quick Fill about just how great of a year it was, and those in attendance at the banquet discussed that even more. It seems like each and every year that passes is the “best yet” for GNCC Racing and it’s true. Each year just gets better and better and one can’t help but wonder what kind of exciting things the 2017 season will bring.

GNCC Recognizes Top Racers and Sponsors at 2016 Awards BanquetDecember 1, 2016With all 13 race rounds complete on the 2016 circuit, the GNCC Banquet took place this past weekend, November 25 and 26, with the ultimate celebration to cap off the season. More than 1350 racers, family members and fans from all over the country came together in Morgantown, West Virginia to celebrate the prestigious accomplishments of the top 10 racers in each championship class.

Somewhere around age 5 though, I began to realize that my life wasn’t quite like most of the kids around me. Somewhere around age 8, I started to understand that I always would have to leave my friends, and my school, and my church, and my house, and pretty much my life every time I moved. Most of the time, it’s not very much fun. But riding and racing dirt bikes is almost always fun!
