Russell Aims to Conclude Fourth National Championship Season with Another WinOctober 26, 2016The 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, heads into the final round of racing this weekend, October 29 and 30, with the 22nd running of the AMSOIL Ironman GNCC. Held in the motorsports-crazed town of Crawfordsville, Indiana, the event is expected to draw one of the largest crowds this season with its unique racing history and homage to October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Tuesday Toolbox: Jack EdmondsonOctober 25, 2016This week, we caught wind of an unusual story that happened after the ISDE. According to the legend, Coastal Racing team owner, Scott Kiger was in Spain and got to talking to “a guy.” The guy turned out to be 4-time World Enduro Champion, Paul Edmondson. Paul was in Spain because his son, Jack, was racing on the Junior Trophy Team for Great Britain. Paul mentioned that he “sure would like to get his son over to the United States to race a GNCC.”

Bobbitt Becomes a Five-Time Champion at AMA National Enduro Finale; Buttrick Captures First-Career VictoryOctober 24, 2016Round 9 of the AMA National Enduro Series took place on Sunday in Sand Springs, Oklahoma where FMF KTM Factory Racing Team’s Russell Bobbitt wrapped up his fifth-career National Enduro Championship at the season finale. Additionally, SRT/KTM’s Cory Buttrick put forth an impressive ride to earn his first-career victory in the series as he led a KTM-podium sweep with Jesse Groemm in 2nd and KTM-supported rider Steward Baylor Jr. in 3rd.

Another week has come and gone and we’re now just over a week away from returning to GNCC Racing for the final time in the 2016 season. As usual, the Ironman GNCC serves as the 2016 season finale and this round always serves as one of the best ways possible to cap off a season. With a huge turnout of both racers and spectators, along with some of the best spectating opportunities and some of the most fun trails of the season, plus one of the best concession areas of any event, it’s no wonder why the Ironman is regarded as many folks’ favorite round.
