Tuesday Toolbox: Ricky RussellJuly 5, 2017Ricky Russell been a familiar face at the GNCCs since 2013, when he moved from Washington State to South Carolina to pursue the GNCC and National Enduro series, taking the advice of Jason Raines, another familiar face and Washington transplant. It was quite a gamble to take, especially for someone who didn’t even start racing until he was in high school! But clearly it has paid off, as Ricky just brought home his first ever XC1 Pro win last round at Snowshoe! I called him the Tuesday after his win, both to congratulate him and interview him for this week’s Tuesday Toolbox.

Team UXC Race Report: Snowshoe GNCCJuly 3, 2017The much anticipated Snowshoe Mountain event had mostly been kind to Team UXC. So with a growing momentum coming from the last few rounds, we had high hopes to put a machine on the top spot. The day started miserably with low cloud, strong winds and rain. However, this was not to set the emotions of the day as Tayton Swift yet again set the bar high and brought home his second National win in the 90 Limited (8-12) class. This one was made all the more special after a steady start saw him take the lead on the last lap. He was ecstatic to stand on the Snowshoe stage!
GBC Motorsports Racers Conquer “America’s Toughest Race” at Snowshoe GNCCJuly 3, 2017Round 8 of the GNCC racing series at beautiful Snowshoe Mountain Resort was underway in the rugged mountains of West Virginia. Well known for its deadly terrain and brutal racing conditions, the Snowshoe race is viewed by some to be the most difficult and grueling race of the series. With a mixture of rocky portions followed by slick and muddy sections, the Snowshoe race would prove to be a worthy adversary for the legions of diehard racers atop the mountains of West Virginia. As racers prepared for battle and a chance to stand on the top box, we settled in for what would be a long day of great racing and intense competition at Round 8 of the GNCC

Coastal Racing/Husqvarna Teammates Michael and DeLong Land Atop The Podium at America's Toughest RaceJuly 3, 2017Coastal Racing Husqvarna teammates Layne Michael and Craig DeLong put forth an impressive performance at Round 8 of the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series in Snowshoe, West Virginia to capture 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the XC2 250 Pro (16-24) class for America's Toughest Race.
