ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING’S THAD DUVALL HAS A TOUGH START TO THE 2018 AMA NATIONAL ENDURO SEASON

The Sumter Enduro introductory round of the AMA National Enduro took place this weekend in Wedgefield, South Carolina. The course was made up of a lot of sand sections that were perfect for racing due to wet conditions throughout the week and weekend. Weather was cold, in the low 50’s with a steady rain as Pro class took off the line to complete the race that consisted of six tests.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Thad Duvall was excited for a strong start to the season after finishing second overall for the 2017 racing year. He got off to a strong start finishing test one in second place, only seven seconds behind the leader. Heading into test two, Duvall charged and rode good until he got a branch jammed into his handlebars. That cost him about 20 seconds to get it removed, causing him to finish in fourth. Test three was where Duvall knew he could regain some time, but luck was not on his side. Some issues forced him into the pits, where he would have to remain, and not finish round one of 2018.

“I felt like this opening round was going to be my chance to get a good start to the 2018 season. Unfortunately that was not the case, but I will work on regaining valuable points for the rest of the season.” said Thad Duvall.
