Race Report: Limestone 100 GNCC

Westley Wolfe spent Saturday, May 14, in Springville, Indiana as he competed in the Limestone 100 GNCC at the Lawrence County Recreational Park. The fifth round of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC) saw some of the roughest track conditions thus far with an abundant amount of rainfall in the week prior to the event.

Once the green flag waved, Wolfe found himself buried mid-pack heading into the turn but was able to work his way into fourth as they headed into the Indiana woods. The muddy conditions created a wide track with multiple lines. Wolfe would end up choosing a bad line on the second lap and would spend a few minutes getting unstuck and back on his quad. This costed him valuable positions where he fell back to thirteenth. Wolfe charged hard during the remainder of the race and would end up recovering to finish an impressive fifth in the XC2 Pro-Am class and thirteenth overall.
