Rocky Mountain ATV*MC/KR4 Arrive-N-Ride/FAR Race Report: Ironman GNCC

The Rocky Mountain ATV*MC/KR4 Arrive-N-Ride/FAR team concluded its 2015 AMSOIL GNCC season on Sunday with the Ironman GNCC finale in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Twenty-two ANR riders competed throughout the Youth, Amateur and Pro ranks at the historic 21st Annual event, tallying seven top-ten finishes for the Pennsylvania-based team.

It was Pennsylvania's very own Conner Keegan who highlighted the team's efforts on Sunday as he captured a season-best second place finish in the highly competitive 250 B class. Keegan was joined in the three-hour afternoon race by United Kingdom resident Sam Widdicombe, who captured an impressive 13th place finish in his first GNCC appearance of the year. 

In the XC1 Pro class, Rocky Mountain ATV*MC/KR4 Arrive-N-Ride/FAR's Thad DuVall was well on his way to putting his Husqvarna FC350 into a top five finish until he experienced a freak bike issue that ended his race early. Additionally, XC2 Pro Lites rider Nick Davis experienced an issue that also ended his day after one lap.

In the 10 a.m. morning race, Brittan Laird earned his fourth podium finish of the season with an impressive second place in the 4-Stoke C Lites class. Laird's strong ending to the season locks him into third place in the championship standings after thirteen rounds. Colin Keegan earned another top-five finish in the Sportsman A Jr. division, taking home fourth place at the season finale.

Arrive-N-Ride team members captured six top-five finishes in the Youth ranks on Sunday, making for an exciting morning of racing. Jack Groover earned his tenth top-five finish of the season in the 65 (10-11) class, where he ultimately finished second overall in the championship standings. In the 65 (7-9) class, Nathan Conner finished inside the top ten for the seventh time this season, while Joshua Conner also took home a tenth place finish in the 85 (12-13) class. Cole Groover finished tenth in the highly competitive Super Mini (14-15) class, which hosted 39 total riders in Indiana. 

Following a championship-winning season in the 65 (7-9) class, Grant Davis tried his hand in the 85 (7-11) class where he ultimately finished ninth after experiencing a bike issue on the final lap of racing. Davis concludes his season with an impressive ten wins in the 65cc class.

The 2015 AMSOIL GNCC Series concluded its 13-round season over the weekend. KR4 Arrive-N-Ride team members will be honored for their accomplishments at the GNCC Championship Awards Ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 19 in Morgantown, West Virginia.
