JCR Honda Race Report: Chris Bach Battles Through The Maxxis General

Monday, March 16, 2015 | 1:05 PM

The Maxxis General delivered once again and provided GNCC round 2 with some great racing action. After two days of solid rain the racers were faced with a course full of bike swallowing mud bogs that claimed several racers during the grueling 3-hour race. Line selection was crucial to not get stuck on the course and Chris made wise decisions. The JCR/Honda team mechanics Dale "Cookie" Cooke and Eric Siraton had Chris Bach's Fly Racing, Lucas Oil, Maxxis Tires, and Honda CRF450R dialed in and ready for whatever the day had in store.

Unfortunately Chris Bach was not in the best shape as he was battling a bout of Flu and as you can imagine a 3-hour GNCC race when you're sick is no laughing matter. No one said it would be easy and Chris is as tough as they come and it showed. He started off settling into 7th place. As the hours clicked off Chris was steadily moving forward snagging 6th and and by the time the checkered flag dropped he had secured 5th place. A great ride that salvaged some valuable points in the Championship.

"The will of a Champion is most evident on bad days and Championships are often won on your worst day. Chris Bach rode like a Champion this weekend against all odds and with the determination of a man on a mission. Our Honda CRF450R is performing awesome and this is shaping up to be a banner year for Chris and JCR/Honda in GNCC's. Special thanks to RynoPower high performance supplements, races like this require an unbelievable amount of mental focus and physical effort." -- Johnny Campbell
