Friday, November 7, 2014 | 3:15 PM

Just because the 2014 GNCC season has come to a close, doesn't mean the racing action has to end.  Some very cool announcements will be made in the upcoming weeks and months, but let's start with one that has been in the planning stages for some time now.

Wednesday, November 12th, marks the start of the 47th annual Tecate Score Baja 1000 and riders from SBR will be there!! Teammates Dan Webb and Rusty Repass are making the journey to Mexico in the upcoming days after their initial stop in San Diego, California. The guys will be volunteering their time with the famed Baja Pits crew at any number of locations along the racecourse. This trip is the start of a genuine opportunity for this race team to one day makes a run down the Baja Peninsula.  We are overjoyed at the hospitality the desert racing community has shown our team and we are looking forward to where this new path leads.

Throughout the race the guys will be outfitted with a GPS tracking device that will be visible by going to the SPOT Tracker website.  As of now, they will be stationed at Pit #7 in El Rosario, Baja California at race mile 312.  Locations are subject to change at any time so be ready!  A full map of the Baja Pits locations can be found here.  Make sure you follow us on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram for continuous updates as we will be monitoring the race and the whereabouts of our teammates.  Also, get some conversations going on the all-new Slightly Bent Racing Forum on YOUNTO.com.

The mystique that surrounds the Baja 1000 is something that has piqued our interest for many years and now is the time to see what it is all about.  We want to take a moment and thank the guys with Team UXC Racing and legendary racer Mike Penland, for taking time to answer the countless questions we had and will undoubtedly continue to have.  When the smile on their face gets bigger and bigger the more they describe their experiences, you know you've hit the jackpot.  We'll see you in Ensenada!!
