How's it going today?
Today is going, um well I guess.  Just got home from the NY national hare scramble and was mowing the yard and chucked a belt so, it’s never ending (laughs)

How did this weekend's National Hare Scramble go?
This weekend went pretty good! The weather was looking really good until about 30 min from the track when we noticed all the quads where completely brown and the roads were wet. It pretty much only rained at the track, so we had a mudder on Sunday in the 90 degree sunshine. I rode a good race and kept the mistakes to a minimum to take the win!

How did it feel to get that win?
It was great! It’s always a good day when you can put together a solid ride and come away with the win.

What are you going to do to carry that momentum into Snowshoe?
Being the track was super rocky and had a lot of roots, it was good practice for snowshoe so I’m just looking to keep that practice going until then and try to pull off another podium ride.

What are your hopes for Snowshoe?
Like I said, I’m hoping I can put in another smart ride and end up on the podium.

What will it take for you to accomplish that?
Definitely riding as mistake free as possible. Snowshoe is rugged and gnarly so it’s easy to get yourself stuck and lose a ton of positions. The biggest thing  will be to just ride smart.

How did that podium in Indiana feel?
Indiana was amazing! It was a dream weekend for sure, from hanging out at Obermeyer Yamaha on Friday to just hanging out with everyone Saturday and racing a new track Sunday. I was feeling way better than I rode until my crash but the result is definitely something I won’t complain about!

You've also had some solid top 5 rides, what will it take to continue logging podiums?
Yeah, my goal coming into the season was to just be top 5 every race. I had 2 races where I got sixth but was within 30 second of 5th both times. Those were just rider error races that we've learned from and I feel as though my speed is there to be on the podium more often just have to minimize mistakes. I only fell twice at the Mountaineer but they were so close together they cost me a lot of time so the goal is to just eliminates those mistakes and keep plugging away at top 5s.

What do you hope to accomplish through the rest of 2012?
The rest of the year I just want to keep doing what I’ve been doing and have fun doing it. I'm living the dream with the support I have and there’s a ton of people out there that want the opportunities that I’ve been given, so I just want to take advantage of what I have and earn good results for the sponsors. I am definitely looking forward to the second half of the season to tracks I really enjoy.

Where do you hope racing will take you in the future?
(laughs) I don’t really know how to answer that. I mean, I was fully content with not being able to follow the whole series this year as a privateer unless my results were making me enough money to get to the next race. So, everything now is just a bonus to me! Everybody wants to make a career out of racing their dirt bike, including me, so I just hope my results and riding are enough this year to continue the support I’ve been given to continue onto next year and years after.

Alright, before we wrap this up, who would you like to thank?
I can not say thank you enough to the Obermeyer Yamaha/Raines Riding University/ OffroadViking.com team for giving me this oppurtunity and all of the team sponsors: Fly, EKS brand, Kenda, FTD, Factory Connection, EBC, Wiseco, Rekluse, Promoto Billet, HBD Grafx, GYTR, Yamalube, Accelorade, Gearne, Sunstar, Tm Designs, Zip-Ty Racing, Unabiker, CV4, Am-Pro Yamaha and all my sponsors that continued to support me over the years: Oury Grips, All Balls, Asterisk, UFO, all my friends and family.
