How's it going today?
It’s going great! Living the dream (laughs) I am a little sore from the past week though.

How are you spending these couple of GNCC off-weekends?
Actually I am currently staying out in Fallbrook California at Mike Cafro's house. The Baja Legend! We just got back from the Baja 500 in Mexico. We had some bad luck and wound up losing a transmission during the race but I had a blast pre-running and being down there. I am actually planning on staying out here and doing some training on the West Coast and I am thinking about racing the next WORCS race out in Utah.

Are you looking forward to Snowshoe?
Absolutely! I always look forward to this race. Snowshoe is one of my favorite tracks. It seems like anything can happen there.

How has Snowshoe treated you in the past?
I always seem to do well there. In the past four years I have consistently been in the top 5 there and actually last time I raced a Honda there I put her on the box!

What are your expectations for this year at Snowshoe?
Well it’s going to be really hard to pull the holeshot from row 2 (laughs), but really I need a podium there. I need to keep it together on the last lap and ride smart. It’s definitely within reach and I am tired of screwing it up at the end.

Give us a rundown of how this season has gone for you.
This season has definitely had some highs and lows for me. I started out worse off than ever with two mechanical failures. I rebounded with some top five finishes, and I have been consistently running with the lead pack.

You've had some solid finishes in there, what's it going to take to continue that success?
I need to just keep doing what I have been doing as far as training and pre-race prep. I feel my quad is working as good as ever, I just need to keep it together on the last lap...when it counts!

What is it going to take for you to jump up into contention for a win?
You can ask anyone on the front row and they will all agree, Borich is dialed in right now and near unstoppable. I’m almost going to say a miracle (laughs) No, but honestly like I said anything can happen in racing I just need to step it up on the last lap and stay smooth and smart.

What is your goal for the season?
I want to get on that podium with those guys! It’s such a rewarding feeling, and finish the season at number 7 or better.

Have you put any thought into 2013 yet?
I have had a few people but some bugs in my ear, but nothing super solid. It is real close to the time where you have to start planning though.

What do you hope to accomplish in the future?

I hope to accomplish having a long time career in ATV racing or something associated with it...Its what I do all day everyday!
I really am not sure where racing may take me in the future. I know that whatever I do tho I will give 100% and always always always have fun!

So how did you get started in the off-road world?
I started riding when I was 10 on my uncles Yamaha Blaster. Then, when I was 14 my mechanic John Bowers, who I also worked for at the time, let me borrow his 400ex and race it at a local hare scramble.

What has been the biggest highlight of your career?
Well I would have to say finishing 7th overall last year and receiving the GNCC Most Improved Rider Award. That has been my best overall year end finish yet.

Alright, before we wrap this up, who would you like to thank?
I have to thank all my sponsors, Bowers Motorcycle, Yokley Racing, National Guard, Coastal Drilling, Kenda, Roll Design, Exit Shocks, KG Clutches, XCBOB.com, Precision, Yoshimura, Moose Racing, Powermadd, DWT, IMS, Race Ready, Motoprotraining, Bell Helmets, Tireballs, CV4, Tsubaki, Works Connection, DP, Atvriders.com and all my friends and family!!
