AMSOIL GNCC Racing WXC Highlights: AMSOIL Ironman GNCCOctober 31, 2017The 2017 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series, presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, came to a close this past weekend, October 28 and 29, in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Despite the chilly temperatures, the AMSOIL Ironman GNCC boasted the largest rider turnout of the season with 2,398 total riders, 96 of which were female.

He is 27-years-old and from Kingston, Ohio, though he currently lives in Booneville, North Carolina. Kailub has been involved in GNCC racing since he was on 65ccs, and currently has 11 titles in various classes, from Mini Junior all the way to XC1. He was kind enough to invite me into the KTM Factory semi for an interview after celebrating his 47th career win in the GNCC series this weekend at Ironman. He has now surpassed Scott Summers’ previous record to become the “winningest” motorcycle rider in the history of the series, as well as your 2017 XC1 champion.
Coastal Racing/Husqvarna Team Report: Ironman GNCCOctober 31, 2017The Coastal Racing/Husqvarna Team concluded its 2017 Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series on Sunday with the Ironman GNCC in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Team rider Jack Edmondson emerged victorious once again in the FMF XC3 125 Pro-Am class, while his teammate Craig DeLong finished atop the podium for an impressive 3rd place ride in the XC2 250 Pro (16-24) class, followed by Layne Michael in 4th.

The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team was met with extremely cold weather, but near perfect course conditions due to the rain and cold temperatures throughout the week. The track was about 13 miles with lap times averaging 29 minutes long for the top contenders.

Ironman Raceway hosted over 2,398 riders in the course of the two-day Ironman GNCC event, but at the conclusion of today’s 1 p.m. pro bike race it was FMF/KTM Factory Racing’s Kailub Russell who stood atop of the podium and earned his 47th career overall win, making him the all-time winningest bike GNCC rider.

AMSOIL GNCC Racing ATV Highlights: AMSOIL Ironman GNCCOctober 28, 2017The thirteenth and final round of the 2017 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series, presented by Maxxis, and AMA National Championship, took place today, October 28, at the Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The overcast and chilly temperatures didn’t stop racers and fans from flocking to the popular AMSOIL Ironman GNCC to witness WFR/Yamaha/Maxxis/Fly Racing’s Walker Fowler fight his way to his 12th overall victory of the season.
