The raceway for one weekend each year is transformed into a small city of campers, motorcycle and four-wheeler factory and team trailers, workshops, tents, portable toilets, and, practically always, mud. Hundreds of riders and their supporters participate.

The course was slick on the hard-pack sections and extremely soft and muddy in the woods. Laps were 15 miles long with average lap times of 39 minutes.
