I caught up with him to ask what a mechanic’s “off-season” looks like, and learn a little more about his past and future as a mechanic.

The off-season is winding down, as we’re now just a hair over two weeks away from kicking off the 2018 GNCC Racing season. Racing is starting to come in full swing also as the AMA National Enduro Series kicked off last weekend in South Carolina. We’ll have more on that later.

KTM Riders Finish 1-2-3 at Sumter National EnduroFebruary 5, 2018KTM riders got off to a successful start in the 2018 AMA National Enduro Championship, sweeping all three podium positions at Sunday’s Sumter National Enduro in Wedgefield, South Carolina. KTM-support rider and reigning champion, Steward Baylor, Jr., edged out FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Josh Toth for the win, while KTM-support rider Ben Kelley joined the celebration with a career-best finish of 3rd overall.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Thad Duvall Has Tough Start to 2018 AMA National Enduro SeasonFebruary 5, 2018The Sumter Enduro introductory round of the AMA National Enduro took place this weekend in Wedgefield, South Carolina. The course was made up of a lot of sand sections that were perfect for racing due to wet conditions throughout the week and weekend. Weather was cold, in the low 50’s with a steady rain as Pro class took off the line to complete the race that consisted of six tests.
