Fowler Rises to the Top at The Wiseco John Penton GNCCMay 28, 2016The AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, continued today, May 28, in the Buckeye State with the 27th Annual Wiseco John Penton GNCC held at the popular Sunday Creek Raceway in Millfield, Ohio. After facing hot and humid conditions for the first time this season, it would be N-Fab/Maxxis/AmPro Yamaha/Lonestar/MXP’s Walker Fowler taking the overall win. Maxxis/Fly Racing/HMF/Ye Olde Cycle Barn/Suzuki’s Chris Borich and Coastal Racing/MSR/Maxxis’ Brycen Neal would battle it out until the very end to round out the overall podium in second and third.
Russell Makes Last Minute Pass for Limestone 100 GNCC Overall WinMay 15, 2016The 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, took place today, May 15, with the Fifth Annual Limestone 100 GNCC at the iconic Lawrence Country Recreational Park in Springville, Indiana. After an abundant amount of rain fall in the week prior to the event the racetrack shaped up nicely by the time the 1 p.m. Pro race took to the Indiana woods. It would be FMF/KTM’s Factory Racing’s Kailub Russell claiming the overall win after making a pass on Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing/Bel-Ray’s Josh Strang in the last straightaway.
McGill Makes It Three-In-A-Row with Limestone 100 GNCC Overall WinMay 14, 2016The sixth round of the 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, took place today, May 14, with the Limestone 100 GNCC in Springville, Indiana. With an abundance of rain taking place prior to the race, the track conditions were muddy creating the ultimate GNCC event. After battling the rough and rugged circumstances it was CST/LSR/Induction Solutions/DeRisi/SG/Tire Blocks’ Adam McGill who would cross the finish line first after making a last turn pass for the overall win.
Kailub Russell Wins Inaugural CST Tires Camp Coker Bullet GNCCMay 1, 2016The 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, continued today, May 1, with the Inaugural CST Tires Camp Coker Bullet GNCC at Moree’s Hunting Preserve. The new venue located in Society Hill, South Carolina was an instant hit among racers and fans, but the lighting storm also made quite the impression forcing the race being cut short to two hours to accommodate the deteriorating track that quickly became impassable with the substantial amount of rain that occurred prior to the start. The GNCC Track Crew worked diligently to completely re-route the race track for the 1 p.m. pro race, and once the checkered flag flew on the grueling six-lap race it was FMF/KTM Factory Racing’s Kailub Russell who landed on the middle of the box and took home the inaugural win.
McGill Takes Home the Inaugural CST Tires Camp Coker Bullet GNCC Overall WinApril 30, 2016The temperatures were not the only thing heating up as the fifth round of the 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, took place today, April 30, at the Moree’s Sportsman’s Preserve in Society Hill, South Carolina. The racing action was nothing short of exciting with heated battles taking place all day long at the Inaugural CST Tires Camp Coker Bullet GNCC. By the time the 1 p.m. pro race had started the overcast skies turned into sunshine and the hot and humid day created a true testament of the racer’s fitness levels, but at the end of the grueling two-hour race it was CST/LSR/Induction Solutions/DeRisi/SG/Tire Blocks’ Adam McGill claiming the Inaugural win in the Palmetto State.
Russell Dominates VP Racing Fuels Big Buck GNCC and Claims Overall WinApril 18, 2016The 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, continued today, April 17, with the 20th Annual Big Buck GNCC. The Palmetto State weather treated racers to perfect race conditions at the popular Big Buck Farm. At the end of the three-hour race it would be FMF/KTM Factory Racing’s Kailub Russell claiming the overall win followed by JCR Honda/Lucas Oil/Maxxis/FLY Racing’s Chris Bach and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing/Bel-Ray’s Josh Strang.
McGill Claims First Overall Win of the Season at VP Racing Fuels Big Buck GNCCApril 16, 2016The Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC) presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, celebrated 20 years at the iconic Big Buck Farm today, April 16. After a jam-packed day of racing action at the VP Racing Farms Big Buck GNCC it was CST/LSR/Induction Solutions/DeRisi/SG/Tire Blocks’ Adam McGill who came out and top and took home to coveted overall win after a comeback performance.
Russell Comes Out On Top with FMF Steele Creek GNCC Overall WinApril 3, 2016The third round of the 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, took place today, April 3 at the beautiful Steele Creek Campground in Morganton, North Carolina with the 17th Annual FMF Steele Creek GNCC. With a mix of sun and mild temperatures the groundwork was laid for one of the best races thus far in the season. At the end of the grueling three-hour race it was FMF/KTM Factory Racing’s Kailub Russell who claimed the overall win.
Fowler Extends Points Lead with FMF Steele Creek GNCC WinApril 2, 2016The 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, continued today with the 17th Annual FMF Steele Creek GNCC located at the popular Steele Creek Campground in Morganton, North Carolina. Yesterday’s rain left the track a bit muddy to begin the day, but it did not take long for the track to dry out and create near perfect track conditions by the time the 1 p.m. pro race took to the North Carolina woods.
Strang Claims Overall Win at Inaugural Maxxis Cannonball GNCCMarch 14, 2016The 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC) presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, continued in Sparta, Georgia for the inaugural Maxxis Cannonball GNCC. The forecasted rain was nowhere in sight creating a great day for racing, where Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing/Bel-Ray’s Josh Strang came out with the overall win.
Fowler Builds Momentum After Capturing the Overall Win at the Maxxis Cannonball GNCCMarch 13, 2016The second round of the 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC) presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, took place March 12, at the Hill Family Farm in Sparta, Georgia. The brand-new Maxxis Cannonball GNCC provided plenty of racing action with N-Fab/Maxxis/AmPro Yamaha/Lonestar/MXP’s Walker Fowler eventually taking home the inaugural win.
Strang Takes Overall Win at Season Opener Moose Racing Wild Boar GNCCMarch 6, 2016The 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC) presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, kicked off the 42nd Annual Season at the popular Rodman Planation in Palatka, Florida today, March 6. It did not take long for the racing action to heat back up following a four month off season. In the end it would be Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing/Bel-Ray’s Josh Strang crossing the finish line first with a commanding victory.
