Quick Fill #26: This Week in GNCCJuly 12, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
As the days continue to tick by, so does the GNCC summer break. We’re still early in this break and have a ways to go before we head to the final four rounds of the 2018 season. However, it’s never too early to start thinking about the final rounds and the racing those rounds could produce. These final rounds are always a push towards the championship for many riders. Just because you head into summer break in a different position than where you want to be, doesn’t mean a championship is absolutely out of reach. Many times these final rounds play the biggest factor in deciding a championship.

With the conclusion of the Snowshoe GNCC this past weekend, that means we roll into the summer break. It’s hard to believe we’ve already completed nine rounds in the 2018 season but that first part of the season is in the books and just four rounds remain. Of course, we’ve got some time off before those final four rounds and it gives some folks the opportunity to hit the reset button and get ready for a final push towards a championship.
Quick Fill #24: This Week in GNCCJune 21, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
It’s hard to believe it but we now approach our final round before summer break. It seems like the season just kicked off a few weeks ago but we’re now getting ready to head to the toughest and most unique race of the season with the Snowshoe GNCC. As usual, we’ll have the details on this year’s Snowshoe course coming up just a little bit later in this week’s edition of Quick Fill and you’ll definitely want to read up on it because it’s going to be a good one!
Quick Fill #23: This Week in GNCCJune 14, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
With the Tomahawk GNCC in the books, there is now only one round that stands between summer break and us. This seems a bit hard to believe because it seems like it was just yesterday that we were kicking off the 2018 season and now only five rounds remain for the entire season. There’s no doubt that it has been one of the most exciting seasons in the history of GNCC Racing and if the next five rounds are anything like the first eight, then we’re in for a real treat.
Quick Fill #22: This Week in GNCCJune 7, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
The weeks continue to tick by as we roll through the 2018 GNCC Racing season. We now head into round eight with the Dunlop Tomahawk GNCC in Odessa, New York. This venue has proved to provide some interesting storylines in its short history on the GNCC schedule and this year promises to produce more of the same. On the ATV side, there has only been one single rider to claim overall wins at the Tomahawk GNCC and that’s Walker Fowler. In the three previous seasons this event has been on the schedule, Fowler has claimed the Tomahawk win each season and will ultimately be hungry to make it four for four this weekend.
Quick Fill #21: This Week in GNCCMay 31, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
Another round of GNCC Racing is in the books and boy was it a tough one! Between the rains that fell late in the day Saturday and a long, grueling course on Sunday, The John Penton GNCC definitely lived up to its reputation as a great event to pay homage to off-road pioneer, John Penton. Sunday’s 1PM race was probably the toughest of the season with a long course at just over 14 miles and an old-school style John Penton Section to make things even more interesting. The downside to that was that the long lap made for a long overall race time, but it seems like folks really enjoyed the extra challenge.
Quick Fill #20: This Week in GNCCMay 24, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
Another week has flown by and we once again approach the time to go GNCC Racing. It’s pretty exciting as we head to Millfield, Ohio for the 29th running of The John Penton GNCC. This is the oldest venue on the schedule having seen it’s first even in 1990. Now some of you may be thinking 1990 was only 28 years ago and you’re correct. However, don’t forget that when a new event is added the first year is added to the count. It gets confusing sometimes, but just trust me; this IS the 29th annual John Penton GNCC.
Quick Fill #19: This Week in GNCCMay 17, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
It seems hard to believe it but we are now essentially halfway through the 2018 GNCC Racing season. With six rounds in the books, the first half of the 2018 season was nothing short of exciting. We’ve seen some of the closest racing that the series has seen in a number of years and each round proves to be equally as exciting as the last. It seems hard to top ourselves but it continues to happen and as we roll through the season, we’ve got the potential for some tight championship battles.
Quick Fill #18: This Week in GNCCMay 10, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
Another week is in the books and it’s time to go GNCC Racing once again. This time we make our first trip to Indiana for the second annual X-Factor Whitetails GNCC. I don’t believe anyone will soon forget last year’s inaugural X-Factor event, which stands out as one of the sloppiest GNCC events of all-time. However, even with some rain in the forecast, this year promises to be better (fingers crossed!) It actually could use some rain because it’s very, very dry here right now. We’ll have the low-down on the track coming up a little later in this week’s Quick Fill.
Quick Fill #17: This Week in GNCCMay 3, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
The weeks continue tick by in 2018 and we now roll one week closer to returning to GNCC Racing. We’re about to head north for the first time this season for the second annual X-Factor GNCC in Peru, Indiana. We’ve got our fingers crossed for good conditions at this year’s X-Factor event so the venue can live up to it’s true potential, which is pretty high! I feel like I say this about every track, but the X-Factor course will offer up a little of something for everyone with it’s mix of tighter and faster sections, plus some really cool up, down and off-camber sections.
Quick Fill #16: This Week in GNCCApril 26, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
Five rounds are in the books as we roll through the 2018 GNCC Racing season and thus ends our southern stint of the series. South Carolina’s Camp Coker Bullet GNCC is a perfect way to cap-off that southern stint as not only is it a great venue with lots of various activities, but it was a great track with some amazing racing as well. I feel like my personal opinion may be a little bias as this is actually the closest race we have to where I grew up in North Carolina and I visited Camp Coker in the past to ride the motocross track when it still held races, and well, I wasn’t afraid to jump back then.
Quick Fill #15: This Week in GNCCApril 19, 2018Welcome to Quick Fill.
It’s time to go GNCC Racing once again and this time we’re back in South Carolina for the Camp Coker Bullet GNCC. This is a fantastic place to hold a race and we’re very fortunately to be able to race at such a cool place. For those who have never been here, this event is held at the Moree’s Sportsman’s Preserve, which is a world class hunting and shooting facility. It’s also a world-class racing facility as it previously hosted motocross events on the Camp Coker Motocross track and for the third year in a row, it plays host to a round of GNCC Racing.
