In addition to its success on the track, the entire FMF KTM Factory Racing Team was on hand all day to support and encourage Youth off-road racers for the 12th Annual KTM Youth Day at the John Penton GNCC.

Kailub Russell Makes It Five-in-a-Row at The Wiseco John Penton GNCCMay 29, 2016The seventh round of the 2016 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, took place today, May 29, with The 27th Annual Wiseco John Penton GNCC at the popular Sunday Creek Raceway in Millfield, Ohio. The world’s fastest off-road racers were put to the test facing hot and humid race conditions, but at the end of the grueling three-hour race FMF/KTM Factory Racing’s Kailub Russell would find himself in the middle of the box further extending his win streak to five-in-a-row.

Fowler Rises to the Top at The Wiseco John Penton GNCCMay 28, 2016The AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, continued today, May 28, in the Buckeye State with the 27th Annual Wiseco John Penton GNCC held at the popular Sunday Creek Raceway in Millfield, Ohio. After facing hot and humid conditions for the first time this season, it would be N-Fab/Maxxis/AmPro Yamaha/Lonestar/MXP’s Walker Fowler taking the overall win. Maxxis/Fly Racing/HMF/Ye Olde Cycle Barn/Suzuki’s Chris Borich and Coastal Racing/MSR/Maxxis’ Brycen Neal would battle it out until the very end to round out the overall podium in second and third.

The Penton is the oldest event currently on the GNCC schedule and has seen it’s fair share of incredibly great racing over the years and this weekend promises to be the same. If you read last week’s edition of Quick Fill, Rodney and I both discussed how intense the racing was at our previous round in Indiana and there’s a pretty good chance that we’ll see that intensity carry over to this weekend’s event.
