Talladega: Women’s Race Report 

TALLADEGA, Ala. (March 14, 2025) - The 2025 Progressive Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC Racing), presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship, made its way to Talladega, Alabama, for Round 3 of the 2025 race season.

As the WXC riders took off Saturday morning, Hannah Hunter, on her Osburn Off-Road/Fearless/Kenda Tire machine, claimed the $100 BNR Motorsports WXC Holeshot Award. Hunter led the first lap of the race, but on the second lap, Osburn Off-Road/Pierce Performance/Moose Racing’s Chloe Harper took over the lead. 

Elioff Racing/BNR Motorsports/GBC Tires’ Jessica Elioff would battle her way up from fifth to second on the second lap. On the third lap, Elioff would come in just 2 seconds behind Harper. 

Harper would manage to hold off Elioff, winning by 1.271 seconds, to grab her first win of the season with Jessica Elioff taking second, with Hannah Hunter, who would make her way back to take third in the class after falling to sixth on the second lap.

With Chloe Harper’s win, this marks the first time since 2021 that three different racers have won the first three opening rounds in the WXC class. 

In the Women class, Hannalyn Venesky would lead every lap to grab her second win of the season, while Madison McCraw would battle her way up from third to win the Women (25+) class. Lillian Frye would also make her way up from third, to take the win in the Women C class.

Rain would begin to fall early Sunday morning making slick and muddy conditions for the day. As the WXC class took off it, was Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Korie Steede grabbing herself the $100 Landers KTM WXC Holeshot Award to start the 10 a.m. race. 

However, it wouldn’t be long until Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green’s Rachael Archer would take over the lead. Archer would lead both laps to take home her second win of the season. Steede would finish second for the day, with Phoenix Racing Honda’s Tayla Jones taking third in the Alabama mud. 

In the Women class, Hailey Blanton would take the win with over a 12 minute lead. Minnie Hansen would win the Women (30)+ class. Adele Simard would secure the win in the Women C class. 

In the Youth ATV race, Gracie Wolfe would take third overall from the YXC1 class to get her first ever overall podium. Jenna Berg would grab her third win of the season in the Schoolgirl class.

Tenley Hart would battle up from third to grab her first win of the season in the Girls Sr. class. In the Girls Jr. class, Kynlee Bowman secured her first win of the season. 

In the Youth bike race, Jayden Shea battled her way up from second to take the win in the Girls Super Mini class. In the Girls 85 class, Paisley Harris battled her way up from third to take her first win of the 2025 season. Aubrey Tsakanikas would grab her third win of the season in the Girls 65 class.

No matter the conditions, the incredible women of GNCC showed up and delivered at Talladega! After a two-week break the GNCC Racing Series will return to South Carolina for the FMF Camp Coker Bullet in Society Hill, South Carolina at Moree’s Sportsman’s Preserve on March 29-30.
