Camp Coker Bullet GNCC Women’s Race ReportApril 23, 2019The CST Tires Camp Coker Bullet took place on Saturday, April 14th and Sunday, April 15th, serving as the fourth round of the 2019 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship. This race is held at the scenic Moree’s Sportsman’s Preserve in Society Hill, South Carolina with rolling hills, stocked ponds and a giant swimming hole complete with rope swings and zip lines.
Tuesday Toolbox: Ryder LeBlondApril 9, 2019Ryder LeBlond won his first amateur overall last race at Steele Creek just over a week ago – by four minutes. He is from New Florence, Pennsylvania and is 17 years old. He attends his local high school, balancing schoolwork with the demands of top-level GNCC racing He competes in the 250 A class and hopes to win the title this year, in addition to tackling some new formats of racing in the hopes of expanding his horizons and increasing his skills on the bike.

Tuesday Toolbox: Nat RossApril 2, 2019Nat Ross is a former pro mountain bike racer who was inducted into the hall of fame for a combination of his racing ability and leading a wave of technological innovation in the mountain biking world. He grew up in Colorado, trained with Chris Carmichael, and eventually won several national, international, and world titles. In 2008 he retired from the pro circuit but he is still an avid cyclist. He now lives in Bentonville, Arkansas, and recently joined us at The General and Steele Creek GNCC’s as a participant in the Specialized Turbo eMTB Series. Despite a busy life as the brand manager for Pirelli tires and a promoter of all thing’s mountain bike, he plans to attend several more GNCC events throughout the rest of the year, and we are honored to have him riding with us!

The Specialized General GNCC is held at Aonia Pass MX in Washington, GA. Other than the motocross track and a mulch pile that always seems to make an appearance on the course, the most notable feature of the General is the red clay.

Tuesday Toolbox: Hannah HunterMarch 26, 2019Hannah Hunter is from Saylorsburg, PA, finished third in WXC at The General and is just sixteen years old. Making this feature even more impressive is the fact that The General GNCC was her first ever race in the WXC class! I suspect that this is just the first step in what will be a long and successful racing career for Hunter.

Tuesday Toolbox: Brody JohnsonMarch 19, 2019Brody Johnson earned his first-ever amateur overall as well as his first win in the 250 A class at The General GNCC. The sixteen-year-old from Landrum, South Carolina, grew up racing the series and earned three titles during his time on minibikes. His goal for this year is to win the 250 A title, and hopes to eventually follow in the footsteps of his older brother (Jonathan Johnson), who competes in the XC2 class.
