With two wins behind him already, two-time GNCC National Champion Kailub Russell looks to make it three-in-a-row at this weekend’s FMF Steele Creek GNCC, an event that is now considered his home race.

I went up to the start early Sunday morning and had a really good starting spot. I got a decent jump off the line but quickly got pinched off going into the first turn. I was trying to cut underneath everyone in the first couple turns but everybody had the same idea as me. I somehow got around a few guys and was 4th going into the woods.

With rain accumulation through the week leading up to Sunday’s race, Aonia Pass Motocross Park presented muddy conditions all weekend long. However, Factory FMF/KTM’s Kailub Russell emerged victorious despite the conditions to secure his second straight victory in as many rounds.
