Buckwheat 100 GNCC to Honor First Responders and Military Members During Veterans Day Weekend Celebration
GNCC Racing Salutes Those Who Serve and Protect at the 2026 Season Finale in West Virginia
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (November 3, 2026) – The Progressive Grand National Cross Country (GNCC Racing) Series, an AMA National Championship, is proud to announce that this weekend's Buckwheat 100 GNCC will serve as the series' Salute to First Responders and Military Members. Taking place November 6-8 in Newburg, West Virginia, the event will recognize the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving, protecting and defending our communities and country.
With Veterans Day approaching on Wednesday, November 11, GNCC Racing is honored to use the final round of the 2026 season as an opportunity to express its gratitude to active-duty military personnel, veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel and all first responders who make sacrifices each day to keep others safe.
The GNCC Racing community has always been built on a foundation of hard work, dedication, perseverance and camaraderie — values that are also deeply rooted in the military and first responder communities. This weekend, racers, families, fans and industry partners will come together not only to celebrate another incredible season of off-road racing, but also to recognize the individuals whose courage, commitment and selfless service make a lasting impact on communities across the nation.
As competitors prepare to tackle the challenging West Virginia terrain, GNCC Racing will honor those who have served and continue to serve by presenting special GNCC Challenge Coins on the starting line during both the AM and PM races. These commemorative coins serve as a token of appreciation and gratitude for the courage, dedication and sacrifices made by our military members, veterans and first responders.
The Buckwheat 100 GNCC will bring together the nation's top ATV and motorcycle off-road racers for one final weekend of competition, with championship battles, exciting racing action and the unmistakable spirit of the GNCC community on full display. This year's event will carry an added sense of pride as the series closes out its 2026 season by paying tribute to America's heroes.
GNCC Racing extends its heartfelt appreciation to all military members, veterans and first responders. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice and your unwavering commitment to others.
