MILLFIELD, Ohio (September 20, 2026) – The Progressive Grand National Cross Country (GNCC Racing) Series, an AMA National Championship, returned from its summer break on Saturday, September 19, as ATV racers took on The Wiseco John Penton GNCC in Millfield, Ohio. Slick and muddy conditions greeted competitors throughout the day, creating a challenging racecourse that tested riders from start to finish as they battled through the legendary Ohio terrain in the opening round of GNCC’s fall stretch.

Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Brycen Neal wasted little time making his way to the front at his hometown race, getting off to a strong start before moving into the lead early in the afternoon. Once out front, Neal maintained control of the race and continued to set the pace through the challenging Ohio terrain, holding onto the lead all the way to the checkered flag. The hometown victory marked Neal’s seventh overall win of the 2026 season and added another impressive performance to his championship campaign.

HHR/Fly Racing/QuadTech’s Hunter Hart had his work cut out for him after starting the afternoon race back in sixth place, but he steadily worked his way through the XC1 Pro field as the race progressed. Hart continued to push through the demanding Ohio course, making the passes he needed to climb into podium contention before ultimately crossing the finish line second overall on the day.

Action Off-Road/Maxxis/Lonestar Racing’s Jay Shadron started his day by grabbing the $250 BNR Racing XC1 Holeshot Award and putting himself in a strong position early. Shadron remained in the battle near the front of the field and held strong in third to secure the final spot on the overall podium. The third-place finish marked Shadron’s second overall podium appearance of the 2026 season.

Stewart Boys Racing/Kenda/Pierce Performance’s Wyatt Wilkin put together a solid afternoon of racing at The John Penton GNCC, battling among the XC1 Pro frontrunners before crossing the finish line fourth overall. Just behind him, JMR/GBC/Elka/Moose Racing’s Jarrod McClure turned in his strongest performance of the 2026 season thus far, working his way to fifth overall and rounding out the top five finishers on the day.

Phoenix Racing Yamaha/Action Off-Road/Pierce Performance’s John Glauda Jr. came out swinging at The John Penton GNCC, quickly establishing himself as a podium contender as he ran second overall during the early stages of the afternoon race. Glauda showed he had the pace to battle with the frontrunners before ultimately slipping back as the race progressed, crossing the finish line sixth overall on the day. BNR Motorsports/Fearless/Kenda Tire’s Steven Harrell turned in a consistent performance of his own, maintaining a steady pace through the challenging Ohio terrain to earn seventh overall.

The XC2 Pro-Am class saw Hilltop Motorsports/Precision Trenching/Action Off-Road’s Daulton Keyes earn the class victory, with Action Off-Road/GD3 Ventures/Horsepower Inc’s Keaton Henderson taking second at The John Penton GNCC. Both riders were moved up one position in the final results after Nine 2/Ryland Johnson Racing/Gregs ATV & Cycle’s Layne McCormick received a penalty following an on-track incident. The adjustment elevated Keyes to the top step of the XC2 Pro-Am podium and Henderson into the runner-up position on the day.

Coming through to round out the top 10 overall finishers was XC1 Pro racer, Action Off-Road/AMSOIL/CB Racing’s Chris Borich. Borich would continue to push himself throughout the two-hour race, finishing eighth in XC1. OBOR/Moose Racing/Parts Unlimited-backed racer, Adam McGill would finish just outside the top 10 overall, but with a ninth in XC1. Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Grayson Eller came through to finish 10^th in the XC1 Pro class in Ohio.

BNR Motorsports/Precision Racing/Mountain Motorwork’s Talan Stout put together a hard-fought ride in the XC2 Pro-Am class, battling throughout the afternoon before initially finishing fourth. Following the adjustment to the final results, Stout was moved up one position to third in the class, earning the final spot on the XC2 Pro-Am podium at The John Penton GNCC.

The afternoon race also saw an impressive showing from the Top Amateur competitors, led by Andrew Smallwood, who raced his way to 13th overall and earned the College A (16-19) class victory. Bryce Pullen followed with another strong performance, finishing 16th overall and second in College A, while Harrison Lindsey rounded out the Top Amateur podium with an 18th overall finish and third in the class. The trio put together standout rides among the afternoon field, with all three College A racers finishing inside the top 20 overall.

In the AM ATV race, Pro Row 784/Victory Golf Cart’s Brandon Frazier continued his dominant season by claiming the AM ATV overall victory after earning himself the $100 Osburn Off-Road 4x4 Pro Holeshot Award, while Kaden Wharff Racing/OBOR/Action Off-Road/KMK’s Kaden Wharff put together a strong performance to finish second overall. Black Oak Contracting/Osburn Off-Road/Pro Concept Plumbing’s Dayton Hickey rounded out the top three overall finishers with a solid third-place ride. The day proved even more memorable for Frazier, as he officially clinched the 2026 4x4 Pro National Championship three rounds early. Frazier has been unstoppable in the 4x4 Pro class this season, remaining undefeated through The John Penton GNCC and securing the championship well before the season finale.

The WXC ATV class delivered an exciting battle at The John Penton GNCC, with Elioff Racing/BNR Motorsports/GBC Tire’s Jessica Elioff charging her way to the top of the class and earning the victory after a strong performance throughout the race – as well as claiming the $100 BNR Racing WXC Holeshot Award to start the day. Pierce Performance/Moose Racing/Lonestar’s Chloe Harper kept the pressure on as she worked her way through the Ohio terrain to secure second in the class, while Fearless/Teixeira Tech/BNR Motorsport’s Hannah Hunter put together a solid ride of her own to round out the WXC podium in third.

Elioff’s victory also earned her valuable points in the WXC championship chase as the season heads into its final rounds. With the win at The John Penton, Elioff now sits just 19 points behind Harper in the championship standings, keeping the title battle alive heading into the upcoming Parts Unlimited Mason-Dixon GNCC.

Taking home his third Youth ATV Overall win was Bodie Buckhannon as he battled back-and-forth for the duration of the race. Buckhannon would make the pass on lap three for the lead and hold that until the checkered flag came out. Jacob Smallwood wouldn’t make it easy for Buckhannon as he continued to push him. Smallwood would come through to finish second overall and in the YXC1 class with just a 0.7 second gap between himself and Buckhannon for the number one spot. Eli Mccrary had a consistent race as he held onto the third-place position overall and in YXC1.

In the YXC2 Super Mini Jr. (12-13) class it was Kody Buckhannon leading from start to finish during the race, as Chad McCormick worked his way up from a mid-pack start to take second in the class. Brooks Hill would battle back to round out the top three YXC2 class finishers at the end of the Youth ATV race.

Hayden Bettinger earned the 250 (13-15) class win, while Mason Lessard earned the 250 (13-15) Limited class win. In the 125 (8-12) class it was Kolson Conklin coming through to take first, Johnny Martin Jr. took the win in the 125 (8-12) Limited class, and Ryder Tenney would earn the 90 (8-12) class win in Ohio. Raelynn Dickerson took her third Schoolgirl (12-15) class win at round 10, while Aubree Nicholson earned the Girls Sr. (12-15) class win and Kartyr Phillips would come through to take the Girls Jr. (8-11) class win. Gavin Sowers would battle to take the 70 (6-11) class win at The John Penton GNCC.

In the ATV Micro race, it was Justin Collins Jr. coming through to take the overall win and another MXC1 (8-9) class win. Reid Aldridge would put up a fight and battle up front, ultimately crossing the line second overall and in the MXC1 class. Gavin Claypool pushed throughout the race, earning third overall on the day and taking home the 90 Stock Sr. (9) class win.

River Netherton rounded out the top three MXC1 class finishers in the ATV Micro race, while Holden Wolford earned the MXC2 (6-8) class win. Mason Gaydos took the 90 Stock Jr. (8) class win at round 10, while Messiah South earned the 50 Sr (6-7) class win and Kasen Lewis took home the 50 Jr. (4-5) class win.

As the Bike Micro race came to a close, Peyton Austin would cross the line first to take home the overall win and MXC1 (8-9) class win at The John Penton. Kash Brummage would continue to push through taking second overall in the race, and second in the MXC1 class. Running third overall was MXC2 (6-8) class winner, Jacobi Duvall, as he continued to maneuver himself forward throughout the race.

Ryder Baricska rounded out the top three MXC1 class finishers, while Kolt Morrison and Micah Oaks finished second and third in the MXC2 class. Coy Hill battled to take the 50 Sr. 1 (7) class win, while Landon Babineau took the 50 Sr. 2 (6) class win. Weston Rose would earn the 50 Jr. 1 (6-7) class win, with Luke Hendrix earning the 50 Jr. 2 (4-5) class win. In the Girls (6-9) class it was Codie Lloyd taking home the win from Ohio, while Macklin Freeman earning the Micro-E (7-8) class win, Alden Tsakanikas earned the Micro-E (4-6) class win and Ryker Martin earned the Micro-E (4-6) Limited class win. Mason Carpenter pushed through to take the Micro (4-6) Shaft Drive class win and Hudson Hart earned themselves the Trail Rider (6-9) class win.

The Progressive eMTB GNCC National Championship hosted round 4 at The John Penton in Millfield, Ohio on Friday afternoon. Taking the early lead was current defending champion, Cody Pivirotto, as he battled from start to finish in the lead position. Pivirotto would come through to earn his second-straight overall and XC1 Pro eMTB class win of the season. Pivirotto is currently tied for second place in the National points standings as the series heads into its double-header at the Mason-Dixon GNCC in two weeks.

Cooper Stickley would battle through the muddy, slick conditions to take second overall in the race, and earn the Amateur (13+) class win. This is Stickley’s fourth-straight win, where he remains undefeated thus far in the season. Phillip Sollon Jr. edged out the rest of the competition to finish third overall on the day and earn the Youth (8-12) class win in Ohio. Sollon Jr. sits first in his class points standings as well, with a six-point lead.

Will Mcever and Tyler Daniels rounded out the top three finishers in the XC1 Pro eMTB class, while Phillip Sollon came through to take home the XC2 Pro Sport class win. Don Bohn came through to take the Senior (40+) class win, while Jon Agin earned the Masters (55+) class win. In the Big Bore (200lb+) class it was Steve Sellers coming through to earn the number one position. In the Women’s class it was Ashley Hendershot coming through first, as well as Amber Boland coming through to take home the Women’s (35+) class win. Dave Brenneman took another Sportsman class win in the Progressive eMTB race.

GNCC Racing will continue its fall stretch October 2-4 with the Parts Unlimited Mason-Dixon GNCC in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania. Racers and fans will descend on the legendary racing grounds for a full weekend of GNCC action, as championship battles continue to intensify with the 2026 season entering its final rounds. From Micro and Youth competition to the premier ATV and Bike races, the Mason-Dixon GNCC promises three days of exciting racing and plenty of action both on and off the course.
