ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (May 17, 2026) – The 2026 Grand National Cross Country (GNCC Racing) Series, an AMA National Championship, continued on Saturday, May 16, with round seven of racing at the legendary Kenda Powerline Park GNCC in Ohio. Racers and fans were greeted with exciting competition and challenging track conditions as the nation’s top ATV competitors battled through the rugged terrain in pursuit of valuable championship points. From youth and amateur racing to the highly competitive pro classes, Powerline Park once again delivered a full day of thrilling off-road action and unforgettable moments.

The XC1 Pro class delivered one of the most exciting battles of the season as Stewart Boys Racing/Kenda/Pierce Performance’s Wyatt Wilkin and Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Brycen Neal went head-to-head throughout the race at round seven. Wilkin held the lead for much of the event while Neal stayed within striking distance, applying pressure and moving into the lead as the white flag flew. On the final lap, Wilkin made a decisive pass to take over the lead and ultimately secure his second-straight overall win of the season. The thrilling showdown between the two top XC1 Pro contenders kept fans on the edge of their seats and highlighted the intensity and competitiveness of GNCC ATV Racing.

HHR/Fly Racing/QuadTech’s Hunter Hart put together a strong ride at round seven to earn third overall after battling through the demanding Powerline Park course. Hart remained consistent throughout the race and continued to push the pace against the top XC1 Pro competitors, securing another podium finish in the highly competitive premier class.

Action Off-Road/Maxxis/Lonestar’s Jay Shadron delivered a solid performance at Powerline Park to secure a fourth overall finish after battling through the tough and demanding conditions all afternoon.Close behind in fifth overall was Phoenix Racing Yamaha/Action Off-Road/Pierce Performance’s John Glauda Jr. who once again showcased his determination with a hard-fought ride against the stacked XC1 Pro field. Both riders remained consistent throughout the race and added valuable championship points with their top five overall finishes.

OBOR/Moose Racing/Parts Unlimited/Lonestar’s Adam McGill battled through the rough conditions at Powerline Park to earn a sixth overall finish against the stacked XC1 Pro field. McGill remained consistent throughout the race and continued pushing until the checkered flag to add another solid finish to his 2026 GNCC season.

Merritt Racing/BNR Motorsports/GBC’s Josh Merritt and BNR Motorsports/Fearless/Kenda Tire’s Steven Harrell rounded out the top eight overall finishers in the XC1 Pro class with determined rides at round seven of the GNCC Racing Series. Merritt pushed through the challenging Powerline Park terrain to claim seventh overall, while Harrell stayed consistent throughout the race to secure an eighth-place finish. Both riders continued to battle hard against the deep XC1 Pro field and earned valuable championship points with their strong performances.

Action Off-Road/AMSOIL/CB Racing’s Chris Borich and JMR/GBC/Elka/Moose Racing’s Jarrod McClure completed the top 10 overall finishers at round seven with strong rides through the demanding Powerline Park course. Borich battled his way to a ninth-place overall finish, continuing to showcase his veteran experience and determination against the stacked XC1 Pro field. McClure followed closely behind in 10th overall, putting together a steady and consistent performance to earn valuable points as the 2026 GNCC Racing season continues.

The XC2 Pro-Am class delivered another exciting showdown as Nine 2/Ryland Johnson Racing/Gregs ATV & Cycle’s Layne McCormick led the way with an impressive performance to earn the class victory. McCormick stayed consistent throughout the race, navigating the tough conditions and maintaining a strong pace from the opening laps to the checkered flag. His determination and speed helped him secure the top spot against a stacked field of talented competitors.

Finishing in second was Action Off-Road/Pierce Performance/Active Waste Solution’s James Glauda, who put together a strong ride and pushed himself throughout the duration of the race in Ohio. Rounding out the podium was Action Off-road/GD3 Ventures/Horsepower Inc’s Keaton Henderson, who battled through the demanding course to earn a well-deserved third-place finish.

The Kenda Powerline Park Top Amateur honors went to Harrison Lindsey as he came through 20th overall in the afternoon race and took home the College A (16-19) class win. Ryan Wilhelm would be second atop the Top Amateur podium as he finished 21st overall and second in the College A (16-19) class. Andrew Smallwood rounded out the Top Amateur top three finishers with a 22nd overall in the afternoon race at Powerline Park as he also finished third in the College A (16-19) class at round seven.

The AM ATV Overall race at round seven featured an impressive battle across multiple classes as Stetson Owens from the 250 All-Star class captured the overall victory with a standout performance on the demanding course. Finishing second overall was Pro Row 784/Victory Golf Cart’s Brandon Frazier, who powered his way to the top spot in the 4x4 Pro class after a strong and consistent ride. Rounding out the overall podium was Pierce Performance/Moose Racing/Lonestar’s Chloe Harper, whose winning ride in the WXC class earned her an impressive third overall finish against a stacked field of competitors.4x4 Pro

The battle for the remaining podium spots in the 4x4 Pro class was intense as Black Oak Contracting/Osburn Off-Road/Pro Concept Plumbing’s Dayton Hickey charged to a strong second-place finish with a smooth and consistent ride throughout the race. Close behind in third was Kaden Wharff Racing/OBOR/Action Off-Road/KMK’s Kaden Wharff, who pushed through the challenging conditions and kept the pressure on all race long to secure another solid podium finish in the competitive class.

The WXC class continued to showcase incredible competition as Elioff Racing/BNR Motorsports/GBC Tires’ Jessica Elioff raced her way to a strong second-place finish with a determined and consistent performance throughout the event. Right behind her was Fearless/Teixeira Tech/BNR’s Hannah Hunter, who battled through the tough course conditions to earn third place and another well-deserved spot on the podium. Both riders demonstrated the speed, endurance and grit that make the WXC class one of the most exciting divisions in GNCC Racing.

Round seven of the Youth ATV racing delivered plenty of excitement as Jackson Hancock, Jacob Smallwood and Bodie Buckhannon battled their way to the top three positions overall and in the YXC1 Super Mini Sr. (13-15) class with impressive rides throughout the day. The trio pushed the pace on the challenging course, trading momentum and keeping fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Their determination, speed and consistency highlighted the talent in the Youth ATV ranks and made for one of the most exciting races of the weekend.

In the YXC2 Super Mini Jr. (12-13) class it was Beau Bothwell coming through to take the win, Hayden Bettinger would win the 250 (13-15) class, Brantley Slack earned the 250 (13-15) Limited class win, Easton Schmitt earned the 125 (8-12) class win, Johnny Martin Jr. took the 125 (8-12) Limited class win and Gracin Brand earned the 90 (8-12) class win. In the Schoolgirl (12-15) class it was Khloe Oliver taking the win, Aubree Nicholson would earn the Girls Sr. (12-15) class win and Baylee Wright earned the Girls Jr. (8-11) class win. In the 70 (6-11) class it was Kolston Wilson taking the win.

The ATV Micro put on an exciting show as River Netherton raced to the top spot overall and in the MXC1 (8-9) class with an impressive performance from start to finish. In the MXC2 (6-8) division, Sage Shields earned the class win after a strong and consistent ride throughout the race, while also finishing second overall. Justin Collins Jr. also turned heads in the MXC1 (8-9) class, battling through the course to secure a podium-worthy finish of third overall, second in class and cap off a great day of youth ATV racing action.

Gavin Claypool would come through to take the 90 Stock Sr. (9) class win, while Mason Gaydos took home the 90 Stock Jr. (8) class win. In the 50 Sr. (6-7) Micro ATV class it was Otto Margaria earning the class win at round seven, and Kasen Lewis would earn the 50 Jr. (4-5) class win.

In the Bike Micro race, it was Peyton Austin battling through to take the overall win and his MXC1 (8-9) class win at round seven in Ohio. Coming through the pack to take the second overall spot in the Bike Micro race was Jacobi Duvall, who also earned the MXC2 (6-8) class win at Powerline Park. Rounding out the top three overall Bike Micro finishers was Ryder Baricska who also took second in MXC1 (8-9).

In the 50 Sr. 1 (7) class it was Kolt Morrison taking the class win, Landon Babineau would come through to earn the 50 Sr. 2 (6) class win, while Weston Rose earned the 50 Jr. 1 (6-7) class win and Weston Gaughenbaugh earned the 50 Jr. 2 (4-5) class win in Ohio. Rylee Huff took home the Girls (6-9) class win and it would be Nathan Zhang earning the Micro-E (7-8) class win, followed by Jagger Weston earning the Micro-E (4-6) class win. In the Micro-E (4-6) Limited class it was Colby Hoffman taking the win, and Wake Taylor would come through to earn the Micro (4-6) Shaft Drive class win. Blake Tenney would race in the Trail Rider (6-9) class and take home that class win.

The AMSOIL Moto Hero was awarded to Brady Ross from Flemington, West Virginia. Brady is a Firefighter and has been since the age of 15, as he has followed in his father’s footsteps. His dad has since passed, and he continues to carry his legacy on in the fire service. Brady volunteers at the Flemington Volunteer Fire Department and has also served as an EMS Volunteer and a Mine Rescue Team Member. His friends and family that nominated him said that Brady continues to be an amazing asset to his community and never fails to show up no matter the situation or circumstances. Brady has received a $200 AMSOIL Shopping Spree certificate, a commemorative American Flag and online store certificate courtesy of Columbia Flag & Sign Co. and a collective Moto Hero coin.

The GNCC Racing Series will continue June 6 and 7 as racers and fans head to the legendary Watkins Glen International for a brand-new venue in New York. The event marks the first time GNCC Racing has returned to the state of New York since 2019, bringing excitement and anticipation for competitors eager to tackle the unique terrain surrounding the iconic motorsports venue. With championship battles heating up across every class, the return to Watkins Glen is expected to deliver another thrilling weekend of off-road racing for riders, teams and fans alike.
