The Specialized Old Gray Women’s Race Report
Harper gets three in a row; Richards goes back-to-back
MONTEREY, Tenn. (May 6, 2026) – The Progressive Grand National Cross Country (GNCC Racing) Series, an AMA National Championship, made its way to Monterey, Tennessee, for Round 6 of the 2026 season at The Specialized Old Gray GNCC. With great conditions and a full weekend of racing, the Old Gray also marked the first eMTB race of the season.
In the Saturday AM ATV race, it was defending champion Pierce Performance/Moose Racing/Lonestar’s Chloe Harper earning herself the $100 BNR Racing WXC Holeshot Award at the start of the race. After grabbing the holeshot, Harper never looked back and went on to capture her third win in a row.
Behind the leader, Fearless/Teixeira Tech/BNR’s Hannah Hunter put together a strong and consistent ride to earn second overall. Hunter remained steady throughout the race, holding her position each lap and continuing her streak of podium finishes this season.
Rounding out the podium was Elioff Racing/BNR Motorsports/GBC Tires’ Jessica Elioff, who worked her way forward as the race went on. After starting just outside the top three, Elioff steadily chipped away at the gap and made the necessary passes to secure third overall. Just behind her, BNR / Kenda / Lonestar’s Avery Collins ran a consistent race of her own to finish fourth, staying within striking distance of the podium positions throughout the day.
Completing the top five was Stewart Boys Racing/Kenda/Action Off-Road’s Andrea Rodgers, who battled through the pack and challenging conditions to round out the top contenders. Rodgers continued to push each lap, maintaining a solid pace to secure a top five finish at round six.
In the Women’s ATV class, it was once again Courtny Crump taking the win, controlling every lap of the race to take home her fifth win of the year. Behind her, Alyssa Rodgers would put in a consistent ride to grab second place. Sydney Sams would make the pass for third on the second lap and wouldn’t look back to take home her second podium of the season.
In the Women’s 25+ class, Ciara Shadron put together an impressive ride to take home another win, with her being the only racer to complete four laps in the class. Finishing second was Nikki Howard, who maintained a strong pace throughout the race. Not far behind her, Sarah Parkhurst rounded out the podium in third, battling through the tough Old Gray conditions.
In the Women's C class, Lakah Carr put together a dominant performance, leading every lap of the race to secure the win. Taking second was Camy Crump, who held onto the runner-up position throughout the race. Rounding out the podium was Emma Howell, who improved as the race went on, putting in a strong final lap to move into third and secure her spot on the podium.
In the Youth ATV race, in the Schoolgirl class, Lydia Arnold grabbed her second win of the 2026 season. But it was far from an easy run at the front. Arnold was pushed the entire time, with the gap staying tight each lap as she held onto a narrow lead and stayed consistent under pressure to secure the victory.
Right behind her, Emma Edwards kept things close from start to finish, matching the pace and never letting Arnold get too far ahead. Edwards stayed within striking distance all race long, ultimately finishing second after a hard-fought battle. Rounding out the podium was Kimber Lowry, who rode steadily to finish third, managing the race well as the leaders battled ahead.
In the Girls Sr. class, Aubree Nicholson put together a strong ride to take her fourth consecutive win, leading every lap of the race. Grabbing second was Emmerson Swantek, who made an impressive charge after the opening lap. Swantek worked her way forward and settled into the runner-up position, holding a consistent pace to lock in second overall. Rounding out the podium was Kaydence Wiggins, who stayed steady throughout the race to finish third.
It was a close battle for the win in the Girls Jr. class, with Kartyr Phillips ultimately securing the victory. Phillips worked her way forward throughout the race and made the pass on the final lap to win by just one second in a thrilling finish.
Right behind her, Kynlee Bowman led early and set the pace for much of the race. Bowman controlled the opening laps, but as Phillips closed in, the two battled all the way to the finish line, with Bowman coming up just short in a tight fight for the win.
Rounding out the podium was Audrey Petrilla, who put together a consistent ride to finish third. Petrilla stayed near the front throughout the race, maintaining a steady pace each lap to secure a solid podium finish.
After an exciting day of racing on Saturday, attention shifted to the WXC Bike class as the top women lined up for the AM bike race. With championship contenders like Brandy Richards, Danielle McDonald, and Korie Steede ready to battle, the stage was set for another intense fight as the 2026 season continues to heat up.
Once the green flag waved, it quickly became a battle at the front between FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Brandy Richards and AmPro Yamaha’s Danielle McDonald. The two front-runners traded the lead back and forth throughout the race, with McDonald holding the top spot through the middle laps before Richards made her move late. Brandy Richards stayed consistent and was able to reclaim the lead on the final lap, securing the win after a hard-fought battle and going back-to-back after winning the previous round.
McDonald would come through to finish second after leading multiple laps and keeping the pressure on until the end. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Korie Steede rounded out the podium in third, maintaining a steady ride while staying within reach of the leaders early on.
Just off the podium, Wayne's Cycle/FXR/Factory Connection’s Lilley Sheets put together a solid ride to finish fourth, continuing to build momentum as the race went on. Rounding out the top five was Chopper Automotive’s Carly Lee, who remained consistent throughout the race to secure a strong fifth-place finish.

Taking home second was Hailey Vallejo, who worked her way forward after the opening lap to move into the runner-up position. Rounding out the podium was Elle Richardson, who remained consistent throughout the race, battling near the front and maintaining her position inside the top three to earn a solid podium finish.
Switching over to the youth bike race, Baylee Arsenault made a late-race push to take her first victory in the Girls Super Mini class. After running just off the lead early on, Arsenault put together a strong charge in the final laps to take the win. Lacey Bell would finish second on the day after leading most of the race. Bell controlled the opening laps, but Arsenault was able to close the gap late, with Bell ultimately finishing just behind in a tight battle for the win. Rounding out the podium was Paisley Harris, who stayed consistent throughout the race to finish third, keeping herself in contention from start to finish.
In the Girls 85 class, Aubrey Tsakanikas put together another strong ride to take the victory and continue her perfect season. Taking the runner-up spot was Maura Tsakanikas, who maintained a solid pace from start to finish. Elleni Cadieux would round out the top three.

Friday kicked things off with the season-opening eMTB race, bringing a new level of excitement to the 2026 racing season.
In the Women’s eMTB class, Ashley Hendershot put together a strong and consistent ride to take the overall win. After an early battle for the lead, Hendershot made her move following the opening lap and continued to control the race from there, holding the top spot through the remaining laps to secure the victory.
Early on, Nicole Rupert jumped out front and set the pace on the opening lap. Rupert stayed close throughout the race and maintained a solid rhythm, ultimately finishing second. Rounding out the podium was Alicia Meacham, who put together a steady performance, staying consistent each lap to earn a well-deserved third-place finish.
In the Women’s 35+ eMTB class, Amber Boland delivered a dominant performance, leading every lap of the race to secure the overall win. Boland set the tone early and never looked back, staying consistent out front to take a convincing victory.

As Round 6 at The Old Gray ends, the 2026 Progressive GNCC Racing Series continues to build momentum across every class, with championship battles starting to take shape. The series now heads to Round 7 at Powerline Park in St. Clairsville, Ohio, set for May 15–17, where riders and fans can expect one of the most unique and demanding stops on the schedule. Known for its mix of fast sections and tight, technical woods, the former strip mine property features clay-based soil, rocky terrain, and ever-present mud that will challenge even the top competitors as the fight for points continues.
