Through the first four rounds of the 2026 season, Jiggs Fustini has earned three wins in the 4-Stroke A Lites class to begin the year on a high note. At the Wild Boar GNCC earlier this season, Fustini came through 17th overall to secure second on the Top Amateur podium. As the series heads into round five, we caught up with Fustini for this week’s edition of Tuesday Toolbox.
GNCC Racing: Take us back to the beginning. When did you first start riding? What got you into racing? When was your first GNCC?
Jiggs Fustini: I first started riding when I was 3 years old. My parents were always into motorsports, and once I got my first bike, I was in love. I did my first race when I was 5 and raced locally until I did my first GNCC in late 2019.
You’ve had an impressive start to the season with three wins so far in the 4-Stroke A Lites class and have the points lead. How did it feel to come into the season and see that kind of success right away?
I went into the season knowing what I had to do and my advantages. I expected my results, and I'm feeling really good!
Walk us through one of your wins this season and how things came together for you.
Camp Coker was a really good race where everything came together well. I had a good start and passed for the lead early. I put a gap on the rest of the pack, and everything went pretty peaceful for the rest of the race.
What does a typical race week look like for you?
A typical race week for me involves prepping physically and mentally for the race on the weekend. Making sure I am recovered and strong is the main focus.
GNCC racing can be physically and mentally demanding. How do you stay focused and manage the length of the race?
For me, hitting my marks and clicking off laps is the key to making the long races feel short.
Everyone has racers they look up to. Who are some of the racers that have inspired you?
I've always looked up to Ben Kelley. Ever since I was little, he has always been my favorite. Johnny G and Grant Davis are also riders who inspire me.
With the strong start you’ve had this season, what goals have you set for yourself as the year continues?
My goal for the year is, of course, to win the championship. I am also striving for the Top Amateur podiums and getting more of them.
Is there a track on the GNCC schedule that you’re excited for this season, and why?
I’m always excited for Ironman. I love that place! The track is always sick and flows awesome.
Who are some of the people behind the scenes who play a big role in your program each weekend?
My mom, dad, and sister always help out more than I can thank them. They play such big rolls in the family team. The KTM factory team is also helping us out a lot this year and I'm super thankful for them. My trainer, Chris Canning, as well as Erick Veit help me out in many ways too. I'm thankful for everybody that helps and supports me.
Outside of racing, what are some hobbies or things you enjoy doing in your free time?
Some hobbies that I have are Mtb, tricking, cliff jumping, golf, surfing, skimboarding. A good mix of adrenaline and relaxation.
Lastly, who would you like to thank for helping support you throughout your racing journey?
I'd like to thank:
KTM, Orange Brigade, Alpinestars, FMF, Dunlop, TFracing Suspension, Chris Canning, Asterisk, Motorex Powersports, Dirt Care, Ontrack School, Timmy Weigand and Antti Kallonen.
