Talladega: Women’s Race Report
Jessica Elioff goes back-to-back; Korie Steede picks up first win of 2026
TALLADEGA, Ala. (March 11, 2026) – Round three of 13 in the 2026 Progressive Grand National Cross Country (GNCC Racing) Series, an AMA National Championship, brought the women of GNCC Racing to the rugged Talladega terrain for another demanding weekend of competition. The Alabama course challenged both the ATV and bike racers from start to finish. With the championship still early in the season, racers pushed the pace as they battled through the Talladega course in search of valuable points and momentum heading into the rest of the GNCC schedule.
Sunday’s bike racing also coincided with International Women’s Day, providing a special opportunity to recognize the talented and dedicated women who compete throughout the GNCC Racing community. From the WXC class to the Women’s ATV divisions and youth ranks, female racers continue to make their mark in off-road racing with impressive performances and growing participation each season.
Saturday morning’s WXC race saw an exciting battle from start to finish as the top WXC racers fought through the technical Talladega course. Lap one saw the majority of the women’s racers coming in within 30 seconds of each other.
BNR Motorsports/Kenda/Lonestar Racing’s Avery Collins checked in third on the opening lap before taking over the lead on lap two. Collins worked to manage her gap out front, but Elioff Racing/BNR Motorsports/GBC Tire’s Jessica Elioff was on the move.
Elioff, after coming through fifth on lap one, was steadily making her way forward and began closing the gap as she pushed to challenge for the lead. Elioff made the pass on Collins for the lead on the final lap, taking the checkered flag just one second ahead after an intense battle to the finish. With her second win of the season, Elioff now has the points lead going into round four.
Fearless/Teixeira Tech/BNR Motorsport’s Hannah Hunter would hold strong to secure the third-place position after a consistent ride throughout the race. Running near the front of the pack early on, Hunter maintained her pace to once again land on the podium, marking her third podium finish in three rounds this season.
Defending WXC Champion Pierce Performance/Moose Racing/Lonestar Racing’s Chloe Harper would have to make up ground during the race after checking in eighth on the opening lap. Harper steadily worked her way forward throughout the race, making the necessary passes to finish fourth.
Stewart Boys Racing/Kenda/Action Off-Road’s Andrea Rodgers ran inside the top five after getting off to a strong start early in the race. In the end, Rodgers would hold on to secure fifth place and round out the top five.
In the Women’s class, Paisley Stout captured her first win of the season. After taking over the lead on lap two, Stout maintained control of the race and managed the gap to second place for the remainder of the race.
Alyssa Rodgers made her way up from fourth on the opening lap to finish in second place, while Courtny Crump battled up from seventh to secure the final podium position.
In the Women 25+ class, it was once again Ciara Shadron taking home the win, being the only racer to do four laps in the class. Nikki Howard finished second on the day, and Sarah Parkhurst rounded out the podium with a third-place finish.
Emma Howell led every lap in the Women C class to take home her first win of the season. Lakah Carr battled her way up from third to secure second place, finishing just one second behind Howell. Ella Shriver would round out the podium with a third-place finish on the day.
In the Youth ATV race, Emma Edwards picked up her first win of the season in the Schoolgirl class, putting a 31-second gap on second place. Taylynn Davis made the move up from third on lap two to finish second on the day, while Raelynn Dickerson rounded out the podium with a third-place finish.
Aubree Nicholson led every lap to secure her second win of the season in the Girls Sr. class. Raven Nickell finished second on the day, while Kaydence Wiggins rounded out the podium with a third-place finish.
In the Girls Jr. class, Baylee Wright and Kartyr Phillips battled throughout the entire race, coming through scoring on each lap with a gap of one second or less separating the two racers. Wright would ultimately take home her first win of the season, with Phillips finishing just 0.639 seconds behind her. Audrey Petrilla rode a consistent race to finish third on the day and round out the podium.
On Sunday, the motorcycle racers faced some of the toughest conditions of the weekend after overnight rain and on-and-off showers throughout the day. The wet conditions created a muddy and slick track, forming deep ruts and technical terrain that tested racers from start to finish.
In the AM bike race, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Korie Steede started the race by grabbing the Coppersmith Racing WXC Holeshot Award. From there, Steede would come through first on lap one, with Am Pro Yamaha’s Danielle McDonald just three seconds behind her.
On the second lap, McDonald would take over the lead, but it would be short-lived as Steede quickly reclaimed the top spot. Steede would go on to hold off McDonald and the rest of the competition to bring home her first win of the 2026 season. With Steede’s victory, the WXC bike class has now seen three different winners through the first three rounds.
Enduro Engineering/Triumph’s Shelby Turner battled her way to a third-place finish after coming through fourth on the opening lap. Turner moved into the third-place position on lap two and maintained her pace for the remainder of the race, securing her first podium finish of the season.
Taking home fourth place, Phoenix Racing Honda’s Tayla Jones earned her first top-five finish of the 2026 season after issues in the first two rounds left her with disappointing results.
Rounding out the top five was Rachel Gutish aboard her Rieju, who put together a consistent ride through the tough conditions to secure fifth place on the day.
In the Women’s class, Megan Janyssek put together a consistent ride to earn her second win of the season. Kyleigh Fridley finished second on the day, while Zoey Kimble rounded out the podium with a third-place finish.
Amber Aubain put in a dominant ride to take home her first win of the season in the Women 30+ class. Cindy Carpenter placed second in the class, and Andreina Vivas finished third on the day.
In the Women C class, Jordyn Kinney secured her first win of the season. Elle Richardson finished second on the day, while Pita Andonopoulos rounded out the podium with a third-place finish.
In the Youth Bike race, Vaida Lavergne secured another win in the Girls Super Mini class to continue her perfect season. Ky Pollak and Baylee Arsenault both rode consistent races to finish second and third, respectively.
In the Girls 85 class, Aubrey Tsakanikas charged her way up from second and took over the lead on the final lap to continue her perfect season. Maura Tsakanikas finished second after leading the first three laps of the race, while Elleni Cadieux rounded out the podium with a third-place finish.
Jhorjie Walker led every lap in the Girls 65 class to secure her win of the 2026 season and was the only racer in the class to complete four laps. Matilda Revoyr finished second on the day, while Gemmini Cadieux rounded out the podium with a third-place finish.
In the Bike Micro race, Rylee Huff rode another strong race in the Girls class to continue her perfect season. Codie Mae Lloyd brought home another second-place finish to continue her consistent season. Bryley Dunkley battled her way up from fourth to finish third and earn her first podium in the class.
With another exciting round of racing completed at Talladega, the women of GNCC Racing once again proved the depth of talent across every class. From intense battles to standout performances throughout each division, racers continued to push the pace despite the challenging conditions the track threw at them. As the 2026 season moves forward, racers will look to carry their momentum from Talladega into the FMF Camp Coker Bullet on March 28–29.
137 women and girls racers lined up in their designated classes at the Talladega GNCC.
