BECKLEY, W.Va. (September 24, 2025) – The Progressive Grand National Cross Country (GNCC Racing) Series presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship, returned to racing this weekend at the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Mountaineer GNCC, which came to life at the premier Summit Bechtel Reserve in Beckley, West Virginia.
In Friday’s opening eMTB race of the doubleheader weekend, Nicole Rupert took control early and never looked back, leading from start to finish to claim the win in the Women’s class. Bailey Menas battled hard throughout the race to secure the runner-up spot, while Zalie Chase rode consistently to round out the podium in third.
In the Women 35+ class, Suzanne Bishop dominated the field, taking the lead from the start and holding it all the way to the checkered flag. Behind her, Heidi Hawkins worked her way forward through the pack to secure second after a strong mid-race push. Amber Boland put in a steady performance to claim the final podium position in third.
On Saturday, Nicole Rupert put in another dominant ride, leading the way to sweep the doubleheader with another win. Alicia Meacham followed with a strong performance to finish second, while Bailey Menas rounded out the podium in third after a close battle to the checkers.
Suzanne Bishop took control of the second race of the weekend, also riding consistently to earn another victory. Heidi Hawkins battled to finish second, while Melanie Howard claimed third to complete the podium.
Saturday morning, as the WXC class took off, it was Osburn Off-Road/Pierce Performance/Moose Racing’s Chloe Harper grabbing herself the $100 BNR Motorsports WXC Holeshot Award. Harper would continue to lead the entire race and extend her lead each lap.
Behind her, Jessica Elioff, racing for Elioff Racing/BNR Motorsports/GBC Tires, put in a steady and consistent ride to secure second place. Avery Collins, backed by BNR/Kenda/Lonestar, battled hard throughout the race and held firm to claim the final podium spot in third.
With Harper’s win, she secured her first-ever GNCC WXC ATV National Championship.
In the Women’s class, Katie Young came through first on the first lap, but would soon be overtaken by Hannalyn Venesky. Venesky would lead the rest of the laps and win with over a three-minute gap to grab her fourth win of the season. Paisley Stout rounded out the podium in the class with a third.

As the race wore on, FMF KTM Factory Racing Landers’ Brandy Richards charged past Archer to take the lead.
Richards maintained her advantage to the finish, earning her first win in just her second race back after being sidelined earlier this season with a leg injury. Archer kept the pressure on and secured second at the line.
Behind them, AmPro Yamaha’s Danielle McDonald and Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna Racing’s Korie Steede had a thrilling battle of their own, swapping positions multiple times. On the final lap, McDonald made the decisive move to take third, while Steede ultimately finished fourth.
