• Jordan Ashburn charges to XC1 Open Pro victory at Buckwheat 100!
• Former GNCC Champion makes the most of GASGAS EX 450F transition
• Also finishes second overall to match season-best GNCC result

Armed with the GASGAS EX 450F, Ashburn arrived ready for battle at The Buckwheat 100 following the annual summer break, with the former GNCC Champion establishing a strong position early in the three-hour race, fighting among the front-runners as the race progressed.

After an action-packed race and a late-race surge, Ashburn crossed the finish-line and took the checkered flag for his first XC1 Open Pro Class victory of the 2025 season, taking a wave of momentum into the final three rounds. His second-place podium overall matched his season-best GNCC result.

Jordan Ashburn: “We had a different format today, and it was straight-up racing between all of us in both the XC1 and XC2 classes. I found myself battling inside the top-three, top-four all day today, and a lot of passes were made on a track that was hard to pass on! Everyone was sending it, and then that last lap, I made a few really important passes and got to the lead of XC1, which was awesome. I feel good heading into The Mountaineer – we were able to win it last year, so to come out of here with a good finish is great. We made a switch back to the 450 after riding the 350 all year, and I think this was a big step forward for me, so I’m looking forward to putting it on the center of the box.”
