Women’s Race Report

MOUNT MORRIS, Pa. (June 5, 2025) - The Progressive Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship, continued the 2025 racing season at the Parts Unlimited Mason-Dixon. Heavy rain on Friday made for challenging conditions, but the track would tack up as the weekend went on.

Friday afternoon, the eMTB riders took off for the first race of their doubleheader weekend. Rain poured for the duration of the race, making the track very slick and muddy.

Nicole Rupert came out swinging once again in the Women's class, even in the harsh conditions, to grab her second win of the season. While Alicia Meacham and Zalie Chase rounded out the podium

Suzanne Bishop won in the Women 35+ class while Melanie Howard and Amber Boland rounded out the podium.

Saturday morning, as the WMX class took off, it was JMR/Action Off-Road/GBC/Moose Racing’s Katelyn Osburn earning herself the $100 WXC BNR Motorsports Holeshot Award to start the day, her fifth holeshot of the season. However, coming into scoring on the first lap, Elioff Racing/BNR Motorsports/GBC Tires’s Jessica Elioff would come through first.

Osburn Off-Road/Fearless/Kenda’s Hannah Hunter worked her way up from fourth on the first lap to take the lead on lap two, while Osburn Off-Road/Pierce Performance/Moose Racing’s Chloe Harper was also charging through the pack.

On the third lap, Hunter led Harper by just one second, continuing to battle through the end of the race. Ultimately, Hannah Hunter came out on top to take her third win of the 2025 season, with Harper finishing just two seconds behind her.

After taking the holeshot, Katelyn Osburn bounced around in the top four during the race but grabbed third place on the last lap to round out the podium.

In the Women’s class, Hannalyn Venesky came through first on the opening two laps, but Katie Young would battle her way to the front to take the class win. Meanwhile, Alyssa Rodgers worked her way up from fifth to finish second, with Venesky falling back to third to round out the podium.

In the Women 25+ class, Nikki Howard would lead from start to finish to earn her first win of the season. Nicole Wilhelm made a last-lap pass to take second, with Tiffany Valentine-Horwatt rounding out the podium in third. Emma Howell took her first win of the season after leading every lap in the Women’s C class. Camy Crump battled her way up from sixth to finish second, while Lillian Frye came through in third on the day in the class.

Sunday morning, as the WMX class took off, it was Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna Racing’s Korie Steede grabbing her third $100 Landers KTM WXC Holeshot Award of the season. After grabbing the holeshot, Steede didn’t look back and went on to take her third win of the historic 50th year of GNCC racing.

Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green’s Rachael Archer would come through third on the first lap, but finish second on the day and remains the points leader in the class. AmPro Yamaha’s Danielle McDonald took third on the day in the class.

Zoey Kimble took her third win of the season in the Women's class after leading every lap. Elizabeth Allen would make her way up from fourth to take second in the class, and Callie Propst would round out the podium in third.

In the Women 30+ class, Erin Dillman took her first win of the season. Tina Mertes would take second in the class on the day, and Dayna Bergman would round out the podium in third.

Madison Harmon took first place in the Women C class, followed by Cassandra Lis, second, and Kate Ansley, third.

During the Youth Quad race on Saturday morning, Lakah Carr grabbed her third win of the season in the Schoolgirl class. In the Girls Sr. class, Ava Lucas grabbed her second win of the season. Meanwhile, Kynlee Bowman led every lap to take home the win in the Girls Jr. Class.

Late afternoon Saturday, the women eMTB riders took off for their second race of the doubleheader weekend. Nicole Rupert would grab another win in the Women's class, going 2-2 for the doubleheader. Jennifer Sirockman would take second on Saturday in the class, with Alicia Meacham rounding out Saturday’s podium in third.

In the Women 35+ class, Suzanne Bishop would win again, going 1-1 for the doubleheader, while Melanie Howard would grab another second-place finish, and Nicole Hiles would take third.

During the Youth Bike race Sunday morning, Jayden Shea would take the win to tie the points lead in the Girls Supermini class. In the Girls 85 class, Paisley Harris would battle up from fifth to take her second win of the season. Aubrey Tsakanikas grabs another win in the Girls 65 class to keep her perfect season.

After a two-week hiatus, the series will return for the Yamaha Racing Snowshoe GNCC on June 20-22, 2025. This will be the last remaining round before the series heads into its summer break. After Snowshoe, the series will look to return in the fall for the final four races of the season.
