Newly-crowned Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series Champion Johnny Girroir and defending National Grand Prix Championship (NGPC) number one Dante Oliveira will form part of the reigning champion U.S. World Trophy Team, while Mateo Oliveira will be on the Junior World Trophy Team once again after winning individually last year. All will be equipped with the KTM 350 XC-F, entered in the E2 Class for the high-profile European event.

Antti Kallonen, U.S. Trophy Team Manager: "Our preparation week is coming to a close here in Spain and our riders have done a great job so far. The weather here has been something that has made us adjust plans on the fly, but everyone has put in the effort and stayed focused regardless of how bad the weather has turned. The course should suit all of our riders well and they are all looking forward getting the racing started. We have some big individual goals with each rider and, of course, ultimately bringing the team trophies in each category home as well."

Johnny Girroir: "We're excited heading into this year's ISDE and I am looking forward to get things rolling. Tests look good, team is in good spirits, and we’re ready to rip!”

Dante Oliveira: "Everything's looking very nice here in Spain. After walking the special test, it was nice ripping the practice track. It's great dirt here, so that was fun, and I'm excited for racing!"

Mateo Oliveira: "I'm feeling comfortable, confident and healthy leading into race week. Thank you to the team of people making this all happen – I am ready to put it down for the USA."

FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers will also have a significant representation in Team USA at the ISDE, with new GNCC XC2 250 Pro Class Champion Grant Davis featuring in the Junior World Trophy Team, but in the E1 Class onboard his KTM 250 XC-F. Three-time ISDE winner Brandy Richards is in the Women's World Trophy Team and aims to defend the title won by the U.S. team one year ago.

Grant Davis: "It’s been really good over here so far – East Coast style, for sure, so it’s gonna be fun. The boys and I are going to do our best to bring home the gold for the USA!"

Brandy Richards: "Spain has been really nice. We’ve been doing a lot of walking, all of the tests look fun, and it’s very surprising how good the dirt is holding up with all of the rain we’ve had. We were able to ride our bikes yesterday and get them all dialed. I’m feeling comfortable on the bike and super-excited to get started on Monday."

U.S.-based Australian Angus Riordan has also been called upon to represent his home country on its Junior World Trophy Team. The reigning U.S. Sprint Enduro Pro 2 Champion has enjoyed a strong season with FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers, and also impressed with a winning performance in the EJ Class at the Welsh round of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship.

Angus Riordan: "I'm looking forward to doing my first ISDE here in Spain. Gotta be fast and smooth – should be a fun week!"

The 98th edition of the famed FIM 6DAYS will officially take off on Monday, October 14, before race week is scheduled to conclude with the motocross-type finale next Saturday, October 19. The U.S. team will enter as the reigning title-holders in both the World Trophy and Women's World Trophy classifications, with the Junior World Trophy Team finishing in second position last year.
