Coastal GASGAS Factory Racing - Round 9 Race Report

GNCC racing headed to Snowshoe Mountain for round 9 of racing and the last race before summer break.
The much anticipated trip to Snowshoe Mountain did not disappoint, bringing great results to our riders. On Friday, rain and fog made for difficult track conditions but XC2 eMTB rider, Talon Hawk, grabbed his third win of the season with a commanding victory on the mountain. Congrats, Talon!
The sun came out for the start of Sunday's afternoon race where XC2 Pro rider, Ryder Lafferty, started on row 3. Unfortunately, Ryder was unable to finish the race due to an illness
250A rider, Lane Whitmer, had a great ride on Sunday finishing fifth in class and 31st overall.
Cole Whitmer, racing Open A on the mountain, came away with a first place and 35th overall. Cole says, "Hard to complain when I haven't seen a checkered flag since April second! Looking forward to more time off to get my health to 100% so we can hammer down the last 3 (races) of the season!"
Thad Duvall did not race at Snowshoe Mountain as he is healing from injury.
Super Senior A rider, Shawn Remington, finished in third place this weekend.
The GNCC season has now reached its summer break. It will return September 17th in Beckley, West Virginia!
