Coastal GASGAS Factory Racing John Penton Race Report

Coastal Racing just wrapped up Round 7 of the GNCC Series in Millfield, OH for the popular John Penton GNCC. Typical dry and dusty conditions made racing through the trees tough, but our riders pushed through to all have solid results after 3 hours of racing.

In the XC1 class, Ricky Russell #212 rocketed off to the holeshot, leading early on. He continued to run up near the front all race long, eventually finishing 4th XC1. In the XC2 class, Johnny Girroir #969 hovered inside the Top 3 nearly all race long, but didn't have a win in him and eventually settling for 3rd. In the XC3 class, Ben Parsons #300 put in an impressive ride to claim his first win of the season in the 125 Pro-Am class.

In the amateur classes, Cole Whitmer #518 tied his season-best 4th in the 250A class after battling through the pack and making passes all race long. Lane Whitmer #587 dominated the 250B class again, pulling off another win and was the only B class rider to stay on the lead lap. Shawn Remington #63 made a trip up to the podium once again, finishing 2nd in the 40+ A class.
