Magna1 Motorsports Husqvarna Kenda Revlimiter Extreme Enduro Race Report
BRIDGEPORT, Texas – Hosted by AMA Extreme Championship, the 2021 Kenda Revlimiter Extreme Enduro set forth another challenging extreme endure track for GNCC XC1 pro Jordan Ashburn.
During the hot lap qualifier Saturday afternoon, Ashburn was able to finish qualifying 8th, a front row starting position for Sunday morning, after being placed 34th in line for his qualifying run.
Aboard his Magna1 Motorsports Husqvarna TE300i, Ashburn was able to secure the fifth place finish in Enduro #1 on Sunday morning. Race #2 proved to be much more difficult, with harder obstacles added, obstacle directions changed, and a shorter time to finish. Being a knockout style race, after this race only the top 35 racers were entered into the third and final race.
“Getting out of your comfort zone. That’s what this weekend was about for me. That’s the fun part of riding hard enduro. It’s the challenge of not knowing if you can make it up, down, or across the obstacles. I really struggled with the big dry rock sections. That was the first time racing is dry rocky terrain of this nature.” –Ashburn
Through the dust and heat, Ashburn finished fourth in endure #2, keeping himself in the top 5 leading into the final race. This race was most difficult, but shorter in distance. Jordan kept his cool and fought to the finish line up and down some of the gnarliest, rockiest hills Texas has to offer. His 6th place finish in the final race secured the 5th spot, completing his goal of finishing in the top 5 overall.
“I finished P-5 on the weekend. I definitely feel like I learned a lot, Texas was no joke.” – Jordan Ashburn
