GNCC Racing Heads to Georgia For Round Three, The Specialized General
Round One of Specialized Turbo eMTB GNCC National Championship

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (March 12, 2021) – The 2021 Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship, heads to Washington, Georgia this weekend for The Specialized General GNCC. This event is held at Aonia Pass MX, and with great weather expected in the area round three of the series

On Saturday WFR/GBC Tires/Fly Racing/Yamaha’s Walker Fowler will look to earn his second-straight win of 2021 and keep his momentum rolling. Fowler is continuing is quest for his seventh National Championship. Fowler continues to lead the way in the championship standings with a nine point deficit.

After earning second at the previous race in Florida, Hunter Hart Racing/Maxxis/Fly Racing’s Hunter Hart will be aiming to take the number one spot on Saturday afternoon. Hart currently sits second in the points standings and will be aiming to remain a championship contender as the series moves into Georgia.

Action Off-Road/Kenda/Tely Energy’s Cole Richardson came through to take third overall, even after a crash in the last turn sent him tumbling. Richardson would rebound and land on the podium. Richardson is aiming to battle at the front once again this weekend, and hopefully earn that number one spot. 

Looking to earn another XC2 Pro-Am class win will be BNR Motorsports/GBC/Nine2 Goggles’ Ben Kowalewski. After earning last weekend's race, Kowalewski is once again hopeful he can get an early lead and capture The Generals win. 

In Saturday's 11 a.m. race the 4x4 Pro rider and OBOR/Can-Am/DeRisi Racing’s Landon Wolfe is coming off his first win of 2021, and will be looking to keep his momentum rolling in Georgia. In the WXC class it was BNR Motorsports/GBC/HMF Engineering’s Jessica Elioff earning her first-ever WXC class win, and this weekend she will once again try to hold off the rest of her competition.

On Sunday afternoon, FMF/KTM Factory Racing’s Ben Kelley will be going after his second win of the 2021 season. Kelley earned the win just one week ago in Florida, and is looking to keep the wins coming as the series continues on. Kelley will have to hold off the rest of his competitors, who are all hungry for a victory.

Coming through in second last weekend was Babbitt’s Online/Monster Energy/Kawasaki Team Green’s Josh Strang. This weekend Strang is hopeful he can earn the overall win, and will be pushing to get a good start and early lead on the day.

Rounding out the podium at the Wild Boar Magna1 Motorsports/Husqvarna’s Jordan Ashburn. This weekend Ashburn is aiming for that center spot on the podium.

In the XC2 250 Pro class it was Coastal GASGAS Factory Racing’s Jonathan Girroir taking the win. Girroir, who lead almost every lap of the race in his class will be looking to take another victory in Georgia this weekend. 

In the FMF XC3 class Magna1 Motorsports/Husqvarna’s Jonathan Johnson earned his second-straight win at the previous round, and will look to keep his win-streak alive with another class win at The General.

BABS Racing Yamaha/Fly/Maxxis/Pro Circuits’ Becca Sheets earned the WXC class win, and will aim to earn her second-straight win of the season this weekend.
