MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (March 13, 2020) – The 2020 Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship, heads to Georgia for The Specialized General GNCC. On Saturday, March 14 the premier ATV off-road racers will take to the woods and track of Aonia Pass Motocross Park.

Coming off of two-straight wins to start the season is WFR/GBC/Fly Racing/Yamaha’s Walker Fowler. This weekend Fowler will be aiming to keep his winning streak alive as the series heads to Georgia. Fowler currently holds a fourteen point lead, but is looking to increase that points gap on Saturday afternoon.

CST/Houser Racing/Waynesburg Yamaha’s Brycen Neal came through to earn second at the second round of GNCC, but after a first round that left him unable to finish out the race he currently sits seventh in the National Points Standings. Neal will be looking to take away Fowler’s number one spot this weekend, and earn valuable points in the championship hunt.

Currently sitting second in the points after a third place finish in Florida is Action Offroad/Tely Energy Racing/Kenda’s Cole Richardson. Richardson has had a strong start to the season, and is hoping to keep improving each and every round. This Saturday, Richardson will once again begin his quest to stand at the center of the podium.

After going 5-4 at the opening rounds of GNCC Racing, HHR/Maxxis/Fly Racing/Ithaca Recreation Sports’ Hunter Hart currently sits fourth in the championship points. Hart, who earned his first overall win last season, is hoping to once again battle for that spot on the overall podium. Hart was close to earning a finish on the podium at the previous round, but will have his sights set on making his way up there this weekend.

Currently sitting third in the standings is JMR/GBC/Elka/Moose Racing’s Jarrod McClure. After landing on the podium at round one, and coming through fifth at round two McClure is hoping to return to the top three this weekend.

McGill Mafia/Obor Tires/LSR/Moose Racing’s Adam McGill came through sixth at the previous round of racing, but is hoping to return to the front of the pack on Saturday afternoon. McGill has not had the start to the season he was hoping for, but looks to turn it around this weekend in Georgia.

Sitting fifth in the points is Phoenix Honda Racing’s Chris Borich. This weekend Borich will aim to make his way to the front of the pack. Borich sits two points behind fourth, and will be hoping to make those up this weekend.

BNR Motorsports/GBC/HMF Engineering’s Josh Merritt and Devon Feehan Racing/GBC/Fly Racing’s Devon Feehan will look to move up through the standings this weekend in Georgia. Merritt and Feehan finished just inside the top 10 and will aim for better results this Saturday.

GBC/Fly Racing/HMF/Yamaha’s Johnny Gallagher rounded out the top 10 in Florida, and this weekend Gallagher will be looking to move up through the pack to improve his standings.

In the XC2 Pro-Am class it was LanMills XC/WFR/Magna1 Lubricants’ Drew Landers leading the way once again. This weekend Landers will look to keep his XC2 class win streak alive. BNR Motorsports/SSi Decals/Kenda’s Jordan Poplaskie came through second, but is hoping to move into that number one spot in Georgia. BNR Motorsports/DP Brakes/GBC’s Brandon Frazier made his way onto the podium for the first time ever. Frazier will once again aim for a top three finishing position.

Also taking place this weekend will be round 1 of the Specialized eMTB GNCC National Championship on Saturday afternoon. Last year Charlie Mullins took the National Championship, and he will aim to start where he left off. Other riders looking to end his Championship hunt for the 2020 season will be Specialized’s Seth Stevens and Nat Ross.
